Would be good but Telstra offers greater facilities for corporates an the like for the WT just to punt them. IMO the split of games will depend on what offer Telstra makes when the current deal expires. Unfortunately its all about pleasing corporates and making money at the moment.

Yep.

Sucks but we're stuck with it. Hopefully in the near future we'll be able to get away from it, but I fear the opposite will happen eventually.

All I can look at is win percentage at each ground:

Leichhardt - 63.24% (21-1-12)
Campbelltown - 36.49% (13-1-23)

More games at Leichhardt required.:thumb

The Dope on the Hill is at it again. Apparently if you don't agree with his point of view, he resorts to gutter mouth syndrome.

Anyway, on to more important matters, I'd have to agree with other posters comments about the games that are allocated to Campbelltown, and certainly the quality (or lack of) opposition that are pushed our way. My dream though is for a Wests (Tigers) -v- Manly game at Dodge Stadium. What a great way to celebrate the centenary next year

The Cowboys are a local team with a pack of roving supporters aren't they. I mean, why else did we get 17K plus last night?

On a Monday, no less. You guys can't even get a sniff of those sorts of numbers at Cambo on a Sunny Sunday afternoon. Good work jerks.

Have fun being the Canberra Magpies.

HAHAHAH - who said Balmain boys don't cry?

There used to be a poster on here called Tigger. He got so sick of his team being called the Wests Tigers, he gave up and went back to supporting English soccer.

His abuse of Wests was a lot funnier than yours. Search his posts, you might find some ideas.

Not trying to be funny. But hey, enjoy the money that that Campbelltown City Council have spent on their homage to the Macarthur.

Apparantly the roadworks that aare currently being conducted on the M5 near the cambo exit are in fact due to a monument being erected to celebrate the local culture.

With that, I would like you all to go to Brooks Road on the Last Saturday in August and see the unveiling of what is deemed to be a statue of the intrinsic value of the Macarthur people.

And yes, that is a staute.

It may not be as graceful as a Big Merino, or as eye-catching as a Big Pineapple, but it does so sum, up the nature of the people of the Macarthur.

Welcome, a statue of the Big, Unwed, Pregnant Teenager.

Something all of you Cambo houso's can be proud of, and something you can all relate to!

I hear she comes complete with Baby Bonus Cheque so you can shop at Woolworths for one month of the year instead of Aldi's!!

Wrighty, If I want social commentary I'll listen to Alan Jones.

And by the way, what is a "staute"? Is it a super ute you mean?

Isn't this topic supposed to be about wests merging with canberra in premier league? Anyway I hope wests and balmain merge in premier league and in all the other lower grades. You know it makes sense.

Jesus, I hope that's not an attempt at humour....

Maybe you'd have a sense of humour if you had been backed out by the statue's model....

Mate, you keep harping on with that crap about Campbelltown but you never, ever bother to deal in facts.

Let's take a gander...

2000.
Campbelltown; 6 matches, 13,733 average.
Leichhardt; 7 matches, 10,746 average

2001.
Campbelltown; 6 matches, 9,205 average.
Leichhardt; 7 matches, 9,383 average.

2002.
Campbelltown; 6 matches, 9,374 average.
Leichhardt; 5 matches, 11,803 average.

2003
Campbelltown; 5 matches, 8,802 average.
Leichhardt; 7 matches, 9,185 average.

2004.
Campbelltown; 5 matches, 13,365 average.
Leichhardt; 4 matches, 14,625 average.

2005.
Campbelltown; 3 matches, 18,844 average.
Leichhardt; 3 matches, 18,425 average.

2006.
Campbelltown; 3 matches, 16,174 average.
Leichhardt; 3 matches, 18,825 average.

2007.
Campbelltown; 3 matches, 15,010 average.
Leichhardt; 1 matches, 15,185 average.

The totals are;

Campbelltown; 454,791 / 37
Leichhardt; 449,648 / 37

You can shut the f**k up now.
According to this link here (which hasn't been updated to include Monday night's game), the Tigers only played 6 matches at Leichhardt in 2001 & 5 there in 2003. Also your total figures, prior to Monday's game, were wrong - 421,890 & 34 games. So an overall average of 12,409. The Campbelltown figures were however correct, for an average of 12,292. You managed to get the year by year averages correct so it's all a little puzzling....

If you include the crowd for Monday night, then the Leichhardt totals are 438,991 & 35 for an average of 12,543. Expect that average to increase again after the Souths game.

If you've got a source for your figures, would like to see it.

Even using your figures, Leichhardt attracted a higher average crowd than Campbelltown 6 out of 8 years the JV has existed, including during the "dark days" of 2001-04. And people can stop using the whole "out-of-town" excuse for poor crowds, as in 2005, we played the Raiders, Cowboys & Sharks at Campbelltown for record attendance numbers. You can't have it both ways.

I have been a little disapointed at the crowd figues for c'town too and maybe even the atmosphere but I think some people are over reacting a bit. We have to keep the joint-venture 50/50 which means we need to continue to play games at C'town equal with leichhardt. If you support the merger then you would want this too.
