You see what I want to know is why / how have we burnt so many ex players? Is it the management and/or coaching staff? Or is it the demands of the fans(us) ?
I'll try and answer what my thoughts are to your questions, firstly I dont think we as fans are any different to others, all the fans demand the best from their players and club, they ask for our support we ask for their best, simple. Now there seems to be a distinct line between the "also ran clubs and the successful ones" when there is a stigma of being known as a career ending club either for players or coaches, then the decision not to go to the Dragons is simple when a successful club also knocks on your door. Whilst we remain down the bottom of the ladder and we all know how poorly managed we are plus the fact of being unsuccessful looms largely on the horizon for the next few years, would you want to go to the Dragons !!!

I think it is a combination of lots of stuff RedVee. I see that once you come to the Dragons there is this pressure thing. Management expect a lot from the players and coaches and the fans expect it as well. We can make things uncomfortable for the players with our criticism.

Jason Ryles wasn't happy, Trent Barrett wasn't happy, Michael O'Connor was glad to go, Steve Rogers wasn't happy, Brett Morris says Roosters the best run club, etc. These guys and many others know what the Dragons are like. Even Wayne Bennett - he got us the premiership and had a chance to come back a couple of times but knocked us back because he knows how the club is run.

The Tigers had Maguire but too much pressure and they couldn't get Ciraldo because of this in my opinion. Now they have the loyal ones like Sheens, Marshall and Farrah to do the job.

Do we have any loyal ones - maybe Dean Young but he might not be anymore as he himself can see how different a club like the Cowboys operate as compared to the Dragons and may not want to come back. Same as Hornby. Fitzy the same. So unless by some miracle the Board eases back and changes their "grip" and release some shackles and let the football department do their thing and have the right structures throughout and pray that we get the money to complete the C of E, we might have a chance to be top 8 to top 4 in a few years time.

God im jealous of the Rabbitohs culture...every player loves that jersey...just watching them tonight and it all starts from Rusty their head who is proud to be a Rabbitoh on a global scale...our f**kwits board are at the Figtree pub drinking ...,
This is it Mickey. Souths have got a dinky die Bunnies loving owner in Rusty. He shows his face at the club so many times throughout the year. He gets them up at his property and they all bond and band together and they are loving the jersey they put on.

We have Bruce who doesn't face the fans, players etc. He is cold and just concerned about his money. Same as the Glazers who own Man United - they stay in the States and don't show their faces.

We need an owner who is just like us and that is to be an unrelenting lover of the Dragons and would do anything to get us up there and stay up there.

“Woolfy has always had a great knowledge of the game but it is his ability to communicate and educate his players with an honest transparent approach that makes him attractive to Clubs seeking a development coach of the highest quality,” he concluded.

Just what we need. Attack or defence coach ?

Potter seems to have done ok, they're heaps more competitive now...

This is in no small part due to personnel changes and facing easier opposition.
Their attack has improved. Their defence is marginally worse.
TB: Played 10, 2 wins. 9.6 average for per game. 22.1 against.
Against top 8 sides 7 games, 2 wins 5 losses,
MP: Played 11, 4 wins 23.6 avg for, 24.2 avg against
Against top 8 5 games 1 win, 4 losses.

What really killed Trent's tenure was Rd4-8. 5 games against top 8 sides in form. 1 win ,4 losses and outscored by 100 points. The team he inherited last year was not NRL standard and the team he started with this year was never going to come good until later this season.

What I am looking forward to with Ben Woolf coming next year is "his ability to communicate and educate his players with an honest transparent approach that makes him attractive to Clubs seeking a development coach of the highest quality,”. So I hope that the young guns like Tyrell Sloan and Bud Sullivan etc will get quality coaching from Woolf during the pre-season.

I honestly believe that the young ones have yet to be developed to their potential and because of their "good" time in the 2019 Jersey Flegg competition, their transition into the KOE Cup and First Grade was as if they would automatically adjust and play like they had in Jersey Flegg. It just didn't work and I think with the season more or less over, several of the young guns will go out and do their thing to become better for next year with better coaching and mentoring which was lacking this season.

Hook has got to allow this younger coach to do his thing. I'm unsure if he will be used as our attacking or defensive coach. Just have to wait for the confirmation in the Dragons website in due course.

sounds like a coach we had a few years ago that was thrown under the bus by the bald one ..... ( JD)
Woolf sounds pretty good and is obviously the first of many changes required
