ok, so he's now resigned. I'm happy- his form in 2018 was outstanding and this is the year to provide Roache with the apprenticeship.

Is everyone else on board with it?

One good year, two 'disappointing'. He's on a new 'one year' deal. So let's hope he leaves us with at least half his years good!

I'm on board with it. Without him we don't make the finals. Hopefully next year he's not a dud in the first finals match ... like the rest of the pack bar Harris.

Good move, 1 year is appropriate given his history, but he was excellent this year

That said, worry that Newcastle opted out, must be some serious concern over his shoulder

Great move. Hopefully gets Roache ready for 2020, and/or Tevaga can learn some dummy half craft.

Good call. Especially the one year. He'll be playing for a contract in 2020 which means he can't slack off.

The club played hardball and won, good move, re-signing needed to be made and for the right term with
the insecurity of how Roache will comeback from 18 months out of the game.

Depending how long his recovery from surgery is, Roach may play more minutes initially while Luke comes off the bench, but who knows what Kearney is thinking?

Knights got burnt a bit this year with guys coming off surgery getting reinjured.

can we carry both Tevaga and Roache on the bench next year?

Definitely not. The best sides carry bulk and aggression up front - we need two props and another impacting big man on the bench.

Good re-signing but it's definitely wait and see on how Issac is with regards to his injury and also his motivation/general fitness. He's been a rollercoaster year to year throughout his career, so no one can predict what he'll do in 2019.

In some games where Luke wasn't playing for this season passed, when we lost those games, we put it down to Lukes absence. So long as he continues this years form, I'm all for Luke.

That would be 5 halves in the starting 17 if Kearney goes with that. 5 backs, 5 halves?? thats poor assembling of the bench as we need big guys to deal with the opposition big men. All teams are always looking to exploit halves by putting big men on to them especially when its only metres out from the try line. Don't tell me Tevaga doubles as a forward cos I've seen to many instances where Tevagas gone into to smash REAL forwards only to be piggy backed over the line.

I'd go with Roache as he has shown ability to break the line. He's got good agility and acceleration. Lukes been carving up the middle and I'm convinced Roache can do the same. Its just a matter of whether Roaches recovery has been truly successful.

I guess my problem with Tevaga is the minutes he is playing.
He usually comes on at about 20 mins and plays the rest of the game.
Now he is a utility player, so having a utility on for 75% of the match suggests you have nobody better for that time. Not a great assessment of the squad- particularly the big forwards.
We have backs hitting the ball up, now a utility playing big minutes, what are our props doing?

I'm all for it.

If he'd have gone, then we'd have Roache who as we all know has been out for incredibly long.

Jazz, still not sold if we could carry him as our only hooker if Roache had have got injured.

1 year deal means Luke will HOPEFULLY play well (as for his future)
