Having a no nonsense coach like Maguire has been the best thing for him. He knows his spot isn't guaranteed just because he's the most talented. If he gets lazy he will be dropped and knowing that is the reason he's playing his best and giving 100% effort which he hasn't done since 2009-10.

When he plays like this week in and week out he's the number 2 hooker in the game and on a level above the rest and only behind the best hooker of the modern era.

The likes of Farah and Ennis just don't have the ceiling Luke does. This year he's come out of the blocks firing and as long as he plays like that he's better than everyone not named Cameron.
