There is talk the the once financially powerful St George Illawarra Dragons are struggling for cash flow and have had to apply to the NRL for an advance on their annual grant.
Oust Doust. He stuffed up our football team and now it seems I have been right all along; he has mis-managed our Clubs finances.
We need a management clean out. Let's get some proffessionals involved.

I've suggested in the past that things aren't great from a financial perspective and this is the biggest thing Price has going for him.

Well if we are struggling, then it will only get worse next year. Decreased membership numbers, decreased crowd figures, decreased sales revenue, along with decreased exposure that comes hand in hand with a decreased number of FTA games. But the board may just think, 'hey, we're St. George. The big red V will just naturally elevate us back up again.'
"brand power - helping you buy better"
...no one did it better then Sally![]()

Whilst we do have a strong and famous brand, that alone will not attract sponsors. When Wayne Bennett came on board sponsors and media were falling over themselves to get to us. Now he has gone so have the majority of the companies that were with us through his tenure.
Add to that our less than savvy coach and our poor results post Bennett, not much else to be said really.
I'm more worried about the leagues club than the footy tbh.
Why are Canterbury, Wests Ashfield & Parramatta powerhouses and we are no longer are?
Why has Canberra been able to invest in alternate investments to their advantage but we haven't?
All I've seen over the last half dozen years is things being closed, how do you grow by cutting?
While I am a big fan of Dousty leaving to be fair it's Danny Robinson who runs the leagues club Possm.
Have you ever been to Canterbury Leagues? It's basically just a really nice and big place, that's why people go there. If Canterbury and St.George were next to each other on the highway, I'd choose Canterbury every time, after I remove club bias and baggage. I'm not sure about Ashfield, but people out west just love their clubs. So places like Panthers, Parramatta, Canterbury and now Rooty Hill RSL which you non-stop hear about are naturally going to get a lot of customers. You always hear those places advertised on radio, so they must be somewhat popular. St. George Leagues however is starting look a bit out dated boring. In some parts, it needs a total redesign, while other parts have a nice grandness about it.
