Penrith is number 1 on the table
I think that they deserve at least eight players in SOO 2
Mansour, Soward why not the whole pack too
I mean seriously

If Adam Docker can increase his workrate I would love to see him considered for origin next year.

It's funny you should mention the Panthers, as they have no SOO players, and are flying well, right now.
Soward playing with a stack of confidence and looks happy.
We might be in trouble V the Panthers, and last few games they've kicked us....including ground zero last year at Kograh.

Good luck to Penrith and the 5 year plan - achieved in 3 years.
Where is our 5 year plan?
Jamie Soward deserves the best of luck and opportunity. Loved the way he played for us under Bennett and lets remember he kicked us to our 2010 Premiership. Unfortunately he fell out of favour with Price and now found love with Gus & Cleary with Penrith.
We've all moved on, we have Gareth & benji and all we need is an aggressive pack and hopefully there is a 3/5 year plan

The plan's not complete just yet. We're looking good though. I hope you're all coming to the game. We have plenty of parking and the best playing surface in the comp. You guys are hitting some form, so it should be a good one.

Good post......

Price I feel always had an axe to grind with Jamie unfortunately for the Dragons.

Funny what you can do when the back office gets itself sorted and the club buys players to fulfil a plan and strategy. Good luck to them! I'm pleased to Sowie playing well and looking happy. We've moved on now and Widdup gives us a better long term future. Hoping our guys take some confidence out of beating the Sharks reserve grade team and step up another level to really compete on Sat night.

I wouldn't say beating an A grade side 30-0 is finding some form.

I'll be happy to be competitive and not get hammered.

Yes, if they are competitive and give their best I think most fans will be happy. It's a winnable game too.

Panthers got rid of Jennings, Luke Lewis, Lachlan Coote, Blake Austin a combination of good up and comers and experience. With those decisions everyone thought what the hell? A year or 2 later and they are flying high. They bought extremely well. Saints have bought well in the backs and especially in the halves but Panthers showed you don't need to pay overs to get forwards. On the back of Petro they have developed good forwards so Saints should possibly look to get 1 experienced leader to help mould the young forwards coming through.

Who would you get though? I would look at some QLD forward and go hard for Maguire and try and get Hannant. He may be the man we need.

I guess that's why Gould rated Cleary so highly and shows why Gould is no goose.

Yeah Cleary is a huge part of that and a great choice as coach. Shows how important a coach is and should not be treated lightly like Saints have for 18 months. Price should have been gone after 1st season. Wasted 1.5 years keeping him.

The Dragons need a cleanout and on the football side of things they need someone like Gould running the show together with a really good head coach.

I think Cleary is a very good coach, but a step or two behind Bellamy and Hasler. With Gould helping recruitment and more than likely a little strategy, the Panthers are in very good hands and it's showing.

It certainly does the highlight the importance of a good coach. Trent Robinson proved that in the way he turned around the Roosters fortunes so quickly. With the salary cap what it is today, just about every club has their fair share of quality and also rans, but the difference is the way they play. All this arguing about cutting this player, and buying that player, it's pointless without the right coach.
