I know that we had a shit season and the Coach is under the pump, but TBH I don’t see him as a guy who is scared of dropping players or tapping them on the shoulder when their time is up.

He re-signed a bunch until 2019, but when that happened we were either competing well late 2016 or coming top 4 2019. Easy to be wise in hindsight unless ypu know Doris Stokes.

If the club seriously believes he is the best man for the job then I can live with that. What I can’t live with is if the club is only keeping him because we owe him for the way he handled the salary cap drama. That is a ridiculous reason and should be totally irrelevant.

Unfortunately considering what we know today in terms of signings and the fact that it seems Arthur will be coach next year, I can’t see our club being anything but bottom four material again next year.

The most worrying thing this year was even in the games when our forward aimed up, made meters and defended astutely, we looked completely lost in the opositions 20.

It’s reasonable to reach the conclusion that we need bigger bodies and the old adage that forwards win matches is more or less true, but while in some games our forwards got rolled, in a lot of other games we couldnt score a try to save our lives.

Whether BA can coach or not, the group of players we have are not responding to him on the field. That for me is the reason to move him on. And of course, our biggest issue remains lack of true Leadership on the field which has certainly not been addressed so far by recruitment, nor can I see any current player, other than perhaps Brown developing in that area. Norman seems from a distance to be detrimental to club culture and it seems (once again from afar) no one respects Moses enough for him to be a Leader
You seem confused and having an each way bet. Are we weak in the halves or weak in the forwards? Or both?

With all due respect. Without Mannah last night the score would have been far greater. I thought he was one who played well last night. Yes we need better around him and better attitudes but he cant be blamed for our season from hell.

That might be true for last night. One game. Are you happy with that though?
And...…., I never blamed HIM for our season from hell. Far from it.
It is the club and our retention committee who have retained players like Mannah, the soft culture that he is a part of, and the fact that he is supposedly a leader, yet, when have we ever seen some hard arsed leadership from our club captain?
Give me a James Graham anyday that will lead a club and stand up for them.
Forward Pass said it.
It is this soft, friendly culture that has won us wooden spoons.

On the other hand, let's look at another Sydney club.
The Roosters.
No supporters. No juniors.
But go figure. They've just won their 4th Minor Premiership in 6 seasons.
I just wonder which club is doing things the right way, and which club is f**king up.

I'm sick of the fact that the club I follow, which, no question, has the most potential for massive success, continually f**k up year after year.

It's the "Mannah has been a loyal servant" attitude that has us winning wooden spoons.
That's why we need to f**k him off and be ruthless.
And he is the club captain ffs.
Bring on more spoons.
James Graham was on the market and we didn't even look at him.
It says it all.

I said Mannah had to go 3 yrs ago and was crucified.
Mannah is a fine bench player but next season he will struggle to make our 17. If we had a more powerfull pack his role would be fine but he is meant to be the leader and that is the issue. Guys a big pillow.

Hindy111 said in rnd 2 or 3. Terepo is our best prop. And will be our best in 19.
Everyone slagged shit on me. So if rated our props where do you put him?

I wanted Norman gone 2 years ago. I wanted Arthur gone in April after praising him for 4 years. Who cares? we are shit now and we need a new coach and a complete roster change.

Mannah is our softest ‘big name’ local prop since Michael Vella.
Going into 2019, at best he'd be good off the bench. Mentally, over time he's been conditioned to be be part of a losing culture, whether he knows it or not.

The point was everyone on here slagged shit on the fact I said Mannah was a marshmellow. Mannah played fine. Just not a leader.

The thing that concerns me is that Mannah seems to be safe because he is our captain. Couldn’t possibly sack our captain - that is unheard of. The same thing happened with Cayless. He was our captain so had this god given right to play first grade and be paid a lot of money.

It is absolutely ludicrous. Mannah was made captain because we had no one else at the club who had the slightest smidgen of leadership qualities - which is an appalling indictment on the club. We haven’t had a true blood and guts leader for years at this joint.

Mannah is even pleasant to referees when they are caning us. Someone at this club needs to seriously grow a pair and make some tough calls. As I said in another post - I am dreading next year too. Even a major improvement will see us miss the eight. I love this club and always will but the place shits me to tears.

BA simply has to go. He has been a massive disappointment. So has Bernie Gurr to be honest but I will leave that one for now.

I couldn't agree more that that is the clubs problems.
We are soft cocks. No hard decisions are ever made.
I don't understand why a club with 4 out of 6 minor premierships continually shame a club that has a huge supporter base and junior base. Yet, that same club have nothing of the same.

I'm actually sick of anyone defending anything we have achieved this season.
We have achieved nothing but another spoon. After this being our 2nd in 3 years, how can ANYONE run a positive spin on that.

FFS, we last won a comp in 86.
We are the NRL's biggest embarrassment considering we are the NRLS's biggest potential club.
It's shameful.
