It's "HUNTING" season

I saw Dan Hunt shopping today. He's really tall but doesn't appear to have a particularly imposing frame. But then, I would/could say the exact same thing about Jason Ryles.

WTF? Are you seven foot tall? Ryles was/is a monster no matter what company he's in. He's built like Frankenstein's monster.
If you don't think Ryles is imposing, I must be a f*ing pygmie...
Damn - small man's syndrome was the one condition that I didn't have. Before tonight...

hehehe

Couldn't help but chuckle after picking up this week's edition of Big League this afternoon. The cover story is a piece they've done on the '23 Players Who'll Decide The 09 Premiership'. Guess who gets a gig in the list ?? Quote:

One of the reasons the Broncos are in strife this season is their lack of depth. St George Illawarra have no such problem. On their bench they can call on Jeremy Smith, Jarrod Saffy and the under-rated Hunt.
In the average 50 minutes Hunt has played per game in 2009, he's made 28 tackles. The last time the Dragons played brisbane in round 4 (who they play again in round 24), he made 25 tackles in 40 minutes. Against the Eels in round 5 (whom they play last round), Hunt had a huge 54 minutes: 30 tackles and 16 runs for 115 metres. He's fit, he hits hard and he hits often. And Wayne Bennett has picked him in all 21 games because of it. Can ball-play a bit, too.

Of course he is imposing, he certainly towers over me...I'm only 5'9''

What I was trying to say is that Ryles' height is his most striking characteristic. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that either...same goes for Hunt, I think...I wouldn't say the same for someone like Weyman or Poore, although I know both are not short but I would say they are more compact..but I've never met either in person before.

That's weird I was about to say a similar thing except that I saw him in town and was surpised how big he was. He looks average size out on the field, but put him in the middle of your average crowd of shoppers and he's a monster. Well over 100kg and well over 6 foot, and there's barley an ounce of fat on the bloke. Not small. He's a good player, but I actually think he's a second rower playing as a replacement prop.

I reckon Hunty has a great backrowers physique atm, as the year has gone on he seems to have changed his body shape and looks to be running lighter and im much enjoying his weekly improvement

Has good ballskill, aerobic and moblilty, a good xample of the modern player

Also loving Saffys continual improvement each game and he is such an underrated player, who i wonder stays under the radar in opposition gameplans
