Have only got the live scores so far - looking forward to catching the replay over here.

But this win and the score remind me of the hiding we copped at the start of last year - except in reverse! That was the last Eels game I saw live before leaving for England, and I still have nightmares...

How times and fortunes can change, in the space of 17 months! :D

I have said it before in this forum, the first round loss in my opinion was the Eels turning point of the season. It was in that game I thought their DEFENCE shone through. Even though the Bulldogs had all the ball that night they had to resort to corner bomb kicks to get their tries. And Canterbury played very well that night with a makeshift team...

You must mean losing to the Bulldogs this year PP as a turning point? That was definietly much better than the loss at the start of last year, where our defence was strangely absent.

Of course! You were talking about revenge for the firsr round loss to the Bulldogs. I was very proud of the effort against the Dogs in round 1. The Eels had NO ball, yet I think led at half time, and the amount of defence the team had to do told at the end. The Bulldogs with a make shift team on that night were VERY good, and the Eels were not that far behind them. It provided me with the confidence that 2005 was going to be a very competitive season for the Parramatta side.
