Its time for a crusade....

People unite!
The time has come once again to target a website that is full of anti-league propaganda. Im sure that people such as Gav, Rasputin, Billy, Bronco and a few others will agree that we had some success in promoting the game at Sports.com, the AFL forum, CNNSI (although i could never get membership there) and even that N.Y based gridiron site....
However, another invasion is in the works. I think that perserverance is important here, we need to continue our 'crusades' in order to keep on proving the leather patch brigade and AFL types wrong. I have considered looking into the official AFL website, although i find it quite hard to navigate around. At this stage, im looking at a european based rugby union website, although i am definitely open for suggestions. Another possible target would be a NZ RU website, as i think there is definitely opportunity there to play on the 'dis-enchantment' of many traditional union fans over there. I have been assured by Bronco that Kiwis do partake in more activities then eating fush and chups and sheering sheeeeep, so i am sure we will find a kiwi or two in these boards from across the pond.....
However, i am more then open for suggestions, please add any ideas. I will be posting the same message on WORL and im hoping to get quite a few people signed up. My only concern is that i would love to target a HUGE discussion board, because in reality a site such as Sports.com only had about 5-10 regular posters.
So lets all get behind this and may i leave you with a quote to inspire all the punters out there:
"A man without a goal will go one mile down one hundred paths. A man with a goal will go one hundred miles down one road."

Ah...thanks alot Ozbush, it sounds good. I'll head there now and take a look around. Id actually like to run into another Awali, he was made to look so bad so easily by the fine chaps such as Gav.....:)
I honestly think there is opportunity in NZ, there are rumblings that many are unhappy with the Super 12 comp over there. It is hurting them internationally, as well as their provincial competition. Perhaps there is opportunity...lets wait and see

I just made a post in there. Im trying a more laid back approach without the abuse at this point, so i ask that if people post in here that they tone it down and try to argue with them logically.....
It seems like quite an active board, and no membership is required in there, you just scroll down to the bottom of the discussion board page and post. However, it is a NZ union site so im really unsure about the response i will get. I tried pointing out the weaknesses of the game in NZ, hopefully it will get through :)
Also...rugby.com.au should also be looked at. A whole lot of union propaganda is probably going on in there, i might take a look at that site as well...But lets stick to one website at a time for now

I also posted a message at rugby.com.au, although the rules there are quite strict and i would advise against swearing. My post was pretty anti-union in a subtle way, although im still betting that one of the ARU cronies in their will delete it quick smart...

While MFC and Tigger soften up the potential targets, I propose we plot a mass invasion day. When it's time we should all come in and launch a chilling crusade. Let's give it a week or so before making any major moves. I'm hinting at a date near the very end of July.

Cheers.

I just read this on the allblacks site!

Rugby in Germany | Scheng Groendaal, 18-Jul-2001
Hello,

I am trying to start a rugby union in Germany. At present, the game is not that popular and some form of organisation is required.

In New Zealand the game is very successful, does anyone have an ideas on how best to set up a German Rugby Football Union (GRFU)?

Re: Rugby in Germany | rs ex pat melbourne, 18-Jul-2001
Yeh Try contacting any ex pats form rugby playing countries who may be now living in Germany. That is how many union have been established in the past in countries like the USA, Canada, Japan etc etc.

Oh my, these people have issues. The board is terribly slow and i have ran into a whole heap of terribly misguided fools. I think we need more help here, i have seen a few of you post but rugby.com.au definitely needs some work done to it.....
the kiwi site is not alot better, and i can definitely see some work needing to be done there as well...
i like the proposal Hass, it would probably have more of an impact on a site as large as that. There are people on there saying that league is dying! And then today, they post a story (on the front page) that league clubs in england are heading over to union... grrrrrrrrrrrrr
But dont worry, the fight has only just begun. If anyone is looking for a laugh, just read some of the crap that people have spurted out after my first post at rugby.com.au

That place is full of Novocastrian Union supporters talking about Andrew Johns playing Union.
I am trying to find their names in the phone book and will bomb their letter boxes tonight.

MFC, i was unaware of the rugby.com move i thought allblacks.com was the target, maybe i should keep with the times. I went to the forum at rugby.com and the place is a sham, its bloody hard to navigate due to its primitive set up. I'll try my best but its hard seeing everything written.

Cheers
