The NRL wants to become big on a world stage and having the heart of Rugby League, Sydney, divided up into a plethora of fan-bases is only reducing from the spectacle and giving rival codes plenty of ammunition to use against us (even though the NRL is the most watched television program on the East Cost of Australia).

I believe that the Eels are going to struggle to win a premiership in their current state and we would be of most benefit to undertake the following. I bring to you:

Imagine how competitive this team will be with the entire juniors of the west at our disposal? I believe the Tigers and Panthers represent the best ideals and values for a merge with us and I think it's time to start moving towards the Western Sydney Catfish.

It's going to happen eventually so why not save us all more pain and misery and start working towards the inevitable. To watch them play in front of a packed out Pirtek Stadium every game as a successful venture will be magical.

Im not sure about all of them. I'd start with western sydney catfish since we are the biggest disgrace then go from there. Sydney City and Greater Sydney to follow, I think 3 would suffice.

We'll be unstoppable, and the NRL season will last 6 rounds, we'll definitely make the top 3.

Blasphemy... I know things are bad, but to suggest merging with any club is a step beyond.

On Edit: and too suggest Sef Paulo on the team? makes me think (or hope) that you're taking the piss a little.

I have friends who were staunch Wests supporters pre-merge, and are absolutely heart broken now, equally as such for pre-merge Balmain fans.

I'd mention the steelers as well, but don't know any.. shouts outs to Bears fans though, they really copped the raw end of that deal..

to put my point across simply, I can't see us merging with any team as a good thing, not ever.
