He won the award for that last year. Or were you under a rock then ?

When he finally woke up from his pre-season hangover halfway through the season....

You want the best player in the NRL, look at the brisbane no.6, not this crybaby who only shows up half the time.

Another display of poor sportsmanship with that dive after the little bump from Hannant. He is as much a great player as he is a wanker!

Can someone explain the logic in the "oh, he is too inconsistent at the start of the year" logic to me??

How does it make him worse that he plays unbelievable footy at the business end of the season every year?

Call me crazy but I'll take the Hayne's and Inglis's of this world who turn it on after round 16 to the Farrah's and Soward's who stand out throughout the year then go missing when push comes to shove

Theres a bit of truth in that but as a fullback Hayne has the freedom the of field without the congestion Inglis gets, he should be putting in a few dominate performance before June.

He only gets the freedom of the field when the forwards dominate though, something Parramatta's forwards fail to do when compared with the Storms, consistency wise.

Not really, fullback is the one position where the momentum of your team can have zero impact on your own performance as you can nearly always get the ball with distacne between you and the defence thus increasing the space enabling you to do something.

So either he's a) getting the ball in better spots from deeper in the offensive line (like Slater and Boyd do) or b) hes pulled his finger out and not being as lazy.

Comparing a 34 year old to a 22 year old on the basis of trophies won... only in Queensland. Might want to compare the cattle Lockyer had surrounding him when his 4 trophies were won to those surrounding Hayne at Parra while we're at the silly comparisons.

If Jarryd Hayne ever discovers what consistency is, that will be something to watch.
