Roosters. Gone. They have no skill & thats the score, when they play a team with skill.
Ricky is going to bow out of the semis very embarrassingly this year.

Full Credit to Simpkins for making the call to send Hodges off, instead of just the easy way out of putting a player on report. Obviously he was in the position to make the call

I think there may have been mitigating circumstances behind his head high. It came off the back of the Tonga try where he was made to look like the hack that he is and he has tried to make amends in the ensuing kickoff and Simpkins could have possibly known this or even heard Hodges mouth off in the in-goal.

The right decision was made but sending him off only improved the Roosters performance because he is easily the worst player in the NRL this year.

It also shows the Roosters have struggled against the contenders, copping a hiding from both the Dogs and Panthers with another loss to the Broncos. So far the Roosters have one win from four attempts against top four opposition.

if Hodges was sent off, to be consistent Simpkins also had to send off the Dogs player that made the high tackle in the 78th minute

Simpkins had a great game... He took charge and didn't go "Oh No! A High tackle! I'll let the judiciary sort that one out!"... He brought play back when he felt necessary and HAD CONTROL OVER THE GAME. I've failed to see a ref have control over a game sufficiently... When people argued, he marched them back every time... I've seen players argue with a ref for a good 5 mins before the ref makes a threat of marching them back... We need people to take a leaf from Simpkins book.

As for the high tackle by Hodges, it deserved what it got.
