but I would have liked to have seen him injected after about 20-30 mins he could have done to the Tigers what Fui did to MAnly.

It was still a contest then when Jack was finally given a chance it was game set match already.

I agree.

Tsoulos copped an early knock and wasn't the same since.

We needed an impact player. And, unlike MoiMoi, Jack is young, fitter and a better player.

I believe he could have done even better with a little extra time, or being played earlier.

Big Jack played with simplicity and aggression and ran straight and hard-why dont they all play like this more often!

Good debut and good luck to the young man.

IN his interview on the official site Smith had a lot of praise for Jack

He said that JAck comes from a big family with lots of sisters.
Was very happy with the way Afamasaga went about his work on Sunday, even though he didn't get a lot of game time.
Commented that Jack has a lot of size & speed and that he [Smith] is hoping that the other forwards will lay a platform for Jack to be able to show it

HE is from Wellington NZ

Played a fair bit of Union as a kid and got into some age group rep sides.

While Mark Horo was in NZ with the Eels MAtthew?? team on a tour he saw Jack and was asked to trial.

UNion (in NZ) tried to get Jack back during a holiday in NZ last year

He was trialing for a contract during the lower grade trials this year.

the rest as they say is history.

I first saw Jack playing with Guildford last year in the Jim Beam Cup and was coming off the bench and sometimes starting on the wing, he certainly come a long way, the weird thing about it on the wing was a bloke by the name of Wella Hauraki, that same bloke is playing in the frontrow in Flegg and killing them!!

we may be going shit house at the moment but the amount of young blokes from flegg who are staking their claims for Firsts and prems is frightening lets hope we keep them all.

In the Parra advertiser it had abit about Mateo, Jack and Huraki. Apparently Jack and Huaraki wre playing in NZ together at the same time when Horo saw them.

Mateo came through all grades starting from Mathews.

No, but out of the lot Feleti looked the biggest/tallest (in the picture) and he is 19 jack I believe just turned 20 yesterday and Anderson is 17. They just spoke about them 3 and mentioned Huaraki (who I think is another star) breifly saying he was discovered alongside Jack.
