your absolutely right,it has been stated on several media sources that mary will start the season with mc'crone at half
this will ruin our season in the first few rounds and the confidence of nona and mann knowing there will be more pressure on them as second and third choice halves

If Widdop is not re-signed for 2018, the vacancy will be at 6. We already have a 7 in Hunt. So in 2017 the logical halves pairing should be Mann at 6 and Widdop at 7. If this combo does not work out, there are plenty of players waiting in line for their chance to shine.

Bird can play in the halves, centres and at fullback. If it is a decision to move Widdop on, then surely the signing of Bird should be a priority.

Beale was let go as was Prior and in actual fact so was Bird.
They didn't pinch then we gifted them.
If you really want to get at them wait until they have a decent junior of their own.

Correct, if Jack did fly back he would have to play in the Cutters for atleast another few years until he turns 23 .

Nothing like getting behind the 8 ball early by losing a few games.
Then around Rd 6 - 8 when the scrap heap players aren't working out drop them and bring up the people who should have been there in the first place.
When they don't work out due to their lack of confidence and the fact the players that have remained in the squad have become disheartened because the season is almost done and dusted go to your fall back position.
