Jack who?

Only two Jacks we need;

1. JDB
2. Jack Daniels

Order may vary from week to week but they're the only two Jack's required at Dragons atm imo
Not worth the coin being thrown around for Bird.

Rather the Sharks say see ya later, than go wasting that sort of coin on him.

Likewise for you guys, the kid is a good player but he isn't a full back or a 5/8. Fill in yes, full time, no way. Dugan is worth keeping before considering Bird.

If bird isn't in the centres, his future is edge back row and the coin being suggested is ridiculous for those positions.

By the way excellent post! Lol'd but understood the message

No no no
Sharks biggest problem and priority now is Wade Graham who wants $800k a season to stay and has given sharks till next Wed befire he goes to market - then next priority is Chad Townsend who's looking for $750k a season then Segeyaro is looking for a $500k 2nd yeR contract as he will sign for $100k this year THEN Bird s next..
Bird has a $3.6m 4 yeAr deal on the table from Knights and is waiting Fire an offer from Dragons who are waiting to see what's hapoening to both WIDDOP and DUGAN before deciding to make the offer hence the deadline to both players so they don't miss out on Bird.. You can take the above as gospel like it or not these are the facts.. I said 4 weeks ago that Bird will either end up at Dragons or Knights.. Bird wants the 5/8 or FB role - he won't get that at Sharks as Maloney and Holmes have mortgage on these positions..Knights have offered him the 5/8 role and Dragons will if WIDDOP doesn't sign.
Graham signed today. Remaining at the Sharks. Next priority would be Townsend (as you pointed out), then Bird. If Townsend goes perhaps Sharks lift offer to Bird and move Maloney to half back ( I hope this doesn't eventuate as Bird isn't a 5/8). If Townsend is retained, birds existing offer remains and he can move on for the coin being suggested (wouldn't blame him).

Townsend's post try celebration off the no try last week was golden. He must have felt like a knob!
Bird is a center or backrower. He isn't a fullback.
Valentine Holmes is the future number 1 surely.

Spot on Crush. As for the post try (no try) celebration. All I could do was laugh at him.

I do not rate Bird as highly as others.
He is small, safe, tough, of average pace and a good positional player like Robert Finch. I would only play him at five-eighth or centre and he is worth about $500,000. I would take Mann any day over Bird who also has immune issues which will always be in the background.

Mann or Bird, I'd take Bird. He is just every inch a footballer.

Reminds me of the lines rolled out when Bird decided to leave us for the Sharks.

No great loss, who does he think he is wanting to play FG etc etc. Meanwhile he's collected a Rookie of the Year, Country and NSW Origin jerseys, 2 semi final appearances in his 2 years and a premiership ring to boot.

All before the age of 21. FMD,

And LOL taking Mann over Bird. I rate Mann highly, but he's not fit to carry Bird's sperm sample.

Great work to wrap up graham. I'm jealous of your team having a footballer like him.

Seems a decent bloke too. You think he'll end up captain?

I think he will sign w Knights as they want him as 5/8.. Dragons wil resign DUGAN and have no need to make the offer
Actually Bird is a deadly right centre.. He's so dangerous within the quarter line.. He's more effective at right centre than 5/8 IMO.. This bullshit about getting more ball is hog wash..

Bird will stay with the Sharks.....his manager is just doing the usual to push up his asking price in a competitive market. I cannot see him leaving the premiers to go to the Twice wooden spooners. Sometimes success and mateship out weigh the almighty dollar.
