This must piss Parra fans off. Especially with the rubbish they have now and the amount they have to pay for Sandow.

90% goal kicking record is also rather handy. Particularly when most of our tries are scored out wide.
Maloney's an awesome player - the stats hide the intensity and passion he plays with, which really lifts our team.
Wouldn't swap him for any other 6 in the comp tbh.

Yeah first Maloney, then Mateo and Inu

Paradoesntmatta seems to be getting rid of the good stock and keeping the crap. I feel for some of their fans (not all) what is happening with that club?

Maloney was promising when we signed him from Norths in 2008 but I thought was just an average reserve grader before coming to Parramatta.

He looked good on occassions for Wenty, played a good game in the GF win over Newtown, but was quickly snapped from Melbourne on a decent contract. (or probably overpaid)

It sort of p1sses me off now the fact that he's a much better player and when he left there's a string off halfbacks at Parramatta who wouldve been ahead of Maloney, (Finch, Hodgkinson, Keating and Mortimer). Now 3 have left and one is way out of form, but what can you do, you wouldnt know back in 2009 that Maloney would play so well in first grade.

James Maloney is like Kris Keating without the defence - he wouldn't solve any of Parra's current problems. Other than goalkicking if Burt gets injured.

And Sandow's worth what we'll be paying him. By the end of his contract he'll certainly be worth more than that.

Sure, if players got paid for popularity Sandow would be worth f**k all but that's not how it works.

He joined parra in 2007, 2008 he was the nsw reggies and parra reggies captain coming off a broken leg before going go the storm in 09. He got passed over time after time at Parra. He signed with the storm on a basic full time deal long before that GF but struggled there as Cronk, Slater and Smith had their own show going. When he left the storm parra still did not want to offer him a basic NRL contract but the warriors showed interest and the rest is history. He should have made country over moltzen... If you want to blame anyone at parra blame Daniel Anderson for not wanting him back when offered him or hagan for picking everyone below him and not his form at parra.

What are your thoughts on his face size?

He's announced his retirement. For some players chopping and changing clubs can hurt their careers but it never did with James Maloney. He was solid where ever he played. I actually think Penrith won out of the swap with the Sharks for Matt Moylan. Although I will acknowledge Moylan's injuries hampered the Sharks getting the best out of him.

Good luck to him.
