Funny that cronk is only behind thurston for QLD and Australia.

I already said Cronk's a "very good player". He's just an ordinary playmaker.

But he's definitely overrated.

Compared to morts, who will never play origin let alone City v Country.

Don't forget Robson. These two spastics would have won a premiership if your lot hadn't cheated.

Fancy that.

Please, the Eels would kill to have Cronk as their halfback

Mate, we'd kill to have Brett Seymour as our halfback. Doesn't mean he's any f**king good.

...oh thats right you're getting Sandow and Roberts

Both better playmakers than Cronk.

Yeah, not really sure what you're trying to say here.

Do you think Maloney is a good defender?
No, I don't think he's a good defender but who cares if he's missed tackles in a game if his team is winning. The Warriors are obviously able to compensate for his defensive deficiences and he is playing his role in the side nicely.

So Maloney isn't a good defender.

Thanks.

Seymour has defended seriously well while at the Warriors. Dunno what rep he had at other clubs.

Inconsistent, could make a good tackle and follow it up with a poor one in the same set.

I didn't think he changed while watching you lot. Stats. seem to support my opinion too.

Seymour is very good defensively, well he has been while with us. The best thing about his defense is for a halfback he hits hard.

He's a good player. Best suited to five-eighth, he's very good on his feet and can find a hole. I think his ball playing gets a bad wrap too, he's no star in that regard by any means but playing as a five-eighth he does a good job for the most part. Good distributor, and his kicking game is very useful.

I'm a fan of Maloney as well.

I can't see why his name was never mentioned for NSW.

Good goal kicker too.

Out of sight out of mind over the ditch maybe?

Good player with the smarts and tools for the position. If he plays well for the remainder of the year and a good run in the finals, then people will sit up and notice

Very good player, he has a decent long kicking game, great positive mindset, good speed and vision. Although he doesn't put his teammates into space, that has at least as much to do with the line runners as it does with himself.
The Warriors long had a tradition of forwards setting up runners with offloads, a lot more than the halves passing to hole runners in tight lines, which requires a lot more sophistication on the part of the runner. This is one aspect where our current team severely lack, apart from Locke.

Back on Maloney, his defense gets a bit of stick, but every game I see he makes several last ditch efforts when he chases guys from out of nowhere and only just reaches them, as a result unable to complete the tackle. He has very good vision in defense and is definitely willing. It probably helps to have a couple of tackling machines around him in Luck and now Taylor.

He does his job well but IMO is abit like a Daniel Mortimer type half than a Cooper Cronk. Maloney is a good ball runner and support player but his defence is Sandow like and he doesn't seem to set up many tries with ball playing. He's nowhere near as good as someone like Carney
