The problem is that the TPA is extremely easy to rort and than when the NRL decide to investigate it the club refuses to answer any questions, NRL throws their hands up in the air and says they can't do anything.

I love how people are saying we're cheating the cap, anyone seen the moves Manly made for next season? They've upgraded like 10 positions whilst being able to keep the $10m wonder child DCE. Amazing salary cap management!

Notable losses: Foran, Ballin, Hiku
Notable gains: Myles, Brown, Walker, Taupau, Lussick, Koroisau

Let's compare that to the Broncos off-season

Notable losses: Hodges, Dodds, Vidot
Notable gains: Roberts

Wow wtf!!!!!! Cheaters!!!!!!

Because Manly signed all of those players (besides Walker) during last season as part of building their 2016 roster. Do you honestly think that the Broncos had not finalsed their top 25 by now and they also had a few hundred thousand left under the cap earlier this month when Roberts walked out on the Titans?

Broncos will have to release a player or two to fit in Roberts much like Souths had to offload players to fit in Burgess

Next year they are paying all of Boyd and blairs contracts, which were Subsidised by their previous clubs in 2015. So these guys are virtually new signings too

Plus Milford ,Im sure was due more in latter years of his contract compared to the first year.

I'm sure there's more to the story, but what an exciting signing for the club.

Brisbane played some of the most enterprising football of 2015 and I suspect with another year under their belts and with Roberts on board, they'll go up another level which will be fantastic to see.

The only fear the Broncos would have is whether Roberts will be able to stand up in these big games. There's a difference between playing for clubs with no real premiership aspiration (Souths 2011, Panthers 2013, Titans 2014-15) and the Broncos. If he isn't careful, the pressure could get to him.

And Kiwi International Taupau.

I left Taupau out because he signed end of October so he had probably been in talks for a quite a few weeks at that stage negotiating his release and also his new contract so Manly would have budgeted that one for quite a while IMO

Boyd's a soft wanker.
Oates is a lanky pleb who will be found out.
Reed is Reed, and he's a ginger.
Roberts can't defend.
Kahu is injury prone and weak.
Milkford is soft and can't defend.
Hunt can't catch.

Average backline.

Pretty f*cking handy! Reed would look the weakest link, but he has been much, much improved the past season or two. Roberts will thrive at a more professional club and outside two brilliant young halves. Will become a real fan favourite at Suncorp and score plenty of tries.
