FORMER NRL ‘‘bad boy’’ Chris Walker has urged James Roberts to take responsibility for his actions or risk having his Broncos contract torn up.

The Broncos are under mounting pressure to take a hard line stance on Roberts after fresh allegations the Brisbane centre was involved in two drunken incidents in the past fortnight.

The Courier-Mail yesterday revealed Roberts allegedly spat in the face of an employee at a Brisbane nightclub, only a week before his alcohol-fuelled rage at the Normanby Hotel.

And last night Channel 7 reported that he had been banned from the Fortitude Valley and Caxton St precincts for 10 days after the first night of trouble.

“At approximately 2.40am on August 7, police located a 23-year-old Mudgeeraba man allegedly creating a public nuisance on Ballow St, Fortitude Valley,’’ a Queensland police statement said.

“The man was taken back to the Fortitude Valley Police Beat and issued with an infringement notice for public nuisance as well as an initial police banning notice for Fortitude Valley and inner West Safe Night Precinct (for a 10-day period).”







So this happens and a week later he is dragged out of another pub and the broncos let him play four days after that. Well done Wayne I can see you are really trying to get Jimmy back on track.
