This will get swept under the carpet in the usual Bronco manner, no doubt, but we all know this bloke has a problem and sooner or later, probably sooner, he'll screw up again.

The Broncos should and probably will show him the door, if not now in the near future. He's already been kicked out of two clubs. The bloke is a dickhead when intoxicated.

Lol.

Even if charges are laid everything is still "alleged".

Goes to court, still alleged.

That changes when a verdict is handed down.

So seeing this will never go to court it will always be that what apparently happened is alleged (that is unless he comes out and says what happened is true).

You're talking about criminal liability, which has no bearing on pretty much anything else in life.

You don't need to commit a crime to act like a dick. Eg, Mitchell Pearce on Australia day.

If it was someone like greg eden (if he wasn't leaving the club next season) i'm guessing it would have gone down a lot differently. Congrats James you've made it into the benny's boys club

Agreed, hasn't reached heights of last season, but looked a little better tonight then some of the crap he has dished up this year
My favourite moment was when he saved the Broncos from a 20 metre tap and seven tackle set by stopping the ball going dead and then stepping on the dead ball line. Great moment.

To be honest you are better off committing a crime if you are a league player because then they can use the word allegedly and have their day in court etc.

If you are just an imbecile on the piiss and commit no crimes you get put through the ringer complete with feminist groups and the RSPCA requesting 14+ years jail.

Sounds like all you idiots want their to be something to this. You all bitch about nine lapping up bad news stories but you morons are just pigs at the trough as long as it's not your club.

Let it die, it's a massive beat up.
Is that you Dobbo?

Here we have a supposed role model, with a history of poor alcohol induced anti social behaviour f**king up again, you say is a massive beat up? What if he stumbled out of the hotel and got run over? If the Broncos don't believe acting upon a player who was heavily intoxicated during the week,it's poor form and shows the clubs lack of responsibility towards the issue of it's drinking culture.

I reckon that is true.

You have to be found guilty beyond reasonable doubt, so the odds are in your favour. If found not guilty, you are free - there is no separate NRL investigation as to whether there was misconduct on the balance of probs. If found guilty and sentenced, it can be argued that, oh well he's done his time for the crime.

If no charge, then you will be in the court of public opinion presided by NRL and Channel Nein.

Roberts should be suspended immediately.

Not for the alleged drunken incident, but for hogging the ball instead of setting up Kahu in the corner last night.

Give the bloke a break.

He rarely gets to see the ball these days.

Just pointing out why its is still alleged at this stage.

Channel 7 reported tonight that Roberts was also involved in another alleged incident at the GPO a week prior to the alleged Normanby incident.

Broncos should either give James more of the ball or encourage him to go looking for it, the bloke is merely suffering from Mundine Syndrome, he needs to be allowed an avenue to expel his demons on the field rather than off it . . . Benny and/or his fellow players are partly responsible for his actions
