Now that it looks like DF is on his out,Do you think that
one day in the near future Parra's lost son Jamie Lyon will return to play in the Blue & Gold before he retires.


I for one would like to see it as I do think DK is was the problem in resigning
him & Parra's chance in signing any other big names in the past.

Will the new board sign the big name players we the Parra fans crave to see in the EELS strip & most of help win the comp?

Two problems with your post:

1. I do not consider DF was at fault in either Lyon going or Lyon not coming back. Probably had more to do with Crusher heading to Manly/being ousted from Parra. He was a guiding influence on Lyon and I would wager the main reason we got him in the first place and hence lost him and didn't get him back again.

2. I don't want him back. If he wanted to play for Parramatta, as in for the actual club and the emblem on his left tit, then he has had ample opportunity to prove that over the years. He has failed to prove that and signed with our arch-rivals in Manly which may not mean as much as in the 80s but would've been unthinkable to any real clubman back then.

I did a round trip from Canberra on my own when he first played back at Parramatta Stadium a couple of years back just to boo him every time he went near the ball. No way do I want him near our club.

John Harvey (ex- Gold Coast/Salford coach) was the main reason why Lyon was signed to the club..... Cleal went out and delievered the contract. The main reason he and Lyon had such a rapport was Lyon lived in his house when he first came to Sydney.

I think Lyon was treated well by our club in terms of remaining on his contract while at Wee Waa, and I think his beef at the time was with coach Smith more than Fitzy...?

I don't think it was Fitzy that stopped Lyon coming back to us when returning from England - word on the street was that the club thought they were in with a good shot before he ended up with Noel over at Manly.

Along with Tim and Finchy, I don't think our walk-out players are any chance of coming back.
