Dce has to owe a little bit of his paycheck to Jamie Lyon. Just pass it to him early and watch him weave his magic.

He's a good, solid club player that's for sure.

Not enough talent or heart to make an impression at the next level though.

Great club player.

But due to his bemusing lack of desire to represent his state and country he'll always rank just below his great contemporary, Justin Hodges.

Great club player.

Weak of constitution, and will always have a cloud over him for his dogging of Parra and his State.

He's a great. The fact that he has played a fair bit of 6 only enhances his ability as a centre. Better short kicking game than many full time halves.

Hodges, Inglis and Lyon are the best centre's of the past decade. Choose anyone of those and you're not wrong. You could probably make a case for Jenko too but he's an easy fourth IMO.

At club level.

At any f**king level, if NSW supporters hadn't put shit on the bloke when he first returned to Australia he might not have rejected hand and knees begging to help save them . . . picked consistently in the Origin side he could have made the same impact he has at Manly

Why on Earth would there be a question mark over him for the time he spent in England??

He's been nothing but a class above most for the best part of a decade no matter who the opposition and his time in England does nothing to change or diminish that.

I agree his time in England should not count against him, and TBH neither should his choice not to play origin or any form of rep footy.

I'd personally rate Lyon as one of the best centres I've seen play the game.

If you are ranking two similarly talented centres for an all time list and one played well or dominated at origin and international level for years and one didn't then you are going to be the rep player above the non rep player.

I hate him but I have Hodges above Lyon simply for the fact he got his against the best NSW and the world could throw at him for years right up until the season he retires from all footy, meanwhile Lyon refused to compete at that level. That has to count for something.

Take your point.

I guess it depends if you rank their skills equally.

Although I definitely consider Hodges a great centre, I personally don't think his skills rank up there with Lyon's, nor his importance to his team.

But hey, opinions are like arseholes!
