I think it was 2007 as I'm almost 100% sure it was not long after he came to the Dragons. Win Stadium against the raiders on a freezing sunday afternoon. Sowie had the ball on a string!!! The back three for the faiders had no idea what was going on as Sowie literally bombed them into submission. He and Rangi both had blinders and if I remember corrctly we put 50 on them. Sadly that is probably the last time we beat the pricks (jokes)

I love Jamie too !!

plenty of Sowy goodness to call on 'eh ?

i think my standout favourite Sowy moment was the FG over Balmain to put us into the '10 GF, brilliant night and me and my daughters had awesome Eastern seats at ANZ that night to see it and then watching him put over the kick for Gaz to open our scoring the week after follows closely

he carved Parra a new one at Kogarah last year too in a really dominant performance where he kept setting up tries and losing his duds every time he broke the line which sealed his NSW shirt last yearwas one of my favourite Sowy games

that day was also one of my favorite days EVER on the Kogarah hill

That Try he scored against Wests at Kogarah in 2010. Running out towards the right, stepped inside, and again, and again, skipping 5-6 defenders and planted it down under or near the posts. Beautiful piece of work.

As mentioned above the 2011 game against parra - where we won 30-0. He ran the ball all afternoon. Outstanding game.

His 2010 prelim and GF performances were also sublime.

this will always be one of my favourite games! It was 2007, we had been having a terrible season, Matty Head was playing like a busted and his 5th tackle options were perplexing at best.

On Friday June 1st at Oki Jubilee we were to come up against the defending premiers, a full strength Brisbane side, whilst missing 11 of our own regular starters to injury..

Nathan Brown signs Jamie Soward (who had been warming the bench for Newtown at that point) mid week, he has his first training session with the Dragons on the Wednesday, then pulls on the #7 for the Mighty Red V on the Friday.

With a young Rangi Chase partnering Soward in the halves, they go on to steer our team to a memorable 11-4 victory against the odds, in front of 10,302 hardcore STGI supporters!!!

Ahhhhh memory lane!!!
Yep that'll do me!

Apart from the field goal (he smoked it), my best is his solo effort against Manly on Monday night at Kogarah last year where we basically ran half a circle around the fullback once he got in the backfield. Speed kills.

Soward cops all the flack for that try being disallowed against the bulldogs, even earning the nickname the milkman out of it. All he did however was put his arms in the air, just like every player does when there's the slightest hint of an obstruction. It was Ben Hornby, as captain, who approached the referee who was about to award the try and suggested he go to the video referee to check it.

Two things to keep in mind.

1. We were the better team that night and didn't deserve to lose.
2. It was Steve Clark as video referee who ruled no try. After rorting us royally on numerous occasions over the years he certainly owed us one.

That field goal was the best ever. But let's not forget Fien's delivery. The best pass from dummy half ever.

I was right in front of it, in the immense Dragon army bays behind those posts, and we were celebrating as soon as it left his boot. It was a cracking drop kick, never in doubt.

those last few seconds of the game tho........ heart attack stuff. i think the reason its such a classic is because it could have turned into a very painful dragons memory ala 1999. i always watch the replay of the final moments and thank goddddddddd boy didnt come in for the tackle on ryan but instead let someone else while he hung out for a possible kick. had he come in...an easy try to the tigers.

but back on topic...

lets not forget sowards pass with the defense rushing forward in the same game to gasnier (and on to nightingale) for our first try in the second half to draw us even!.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JBEpGNG400&feature=player_detailpage#t=131s

they had been giving us the up and in defense all game!

Tell me about it! All i could think as they made that break was "Don't take it away from me now!". I was on the edge of my seat, thank god Boyd threw the ball over the dead ball line!

That cut-out pass to Vidot Monday night. Wasn't even a torpedo pass, but was still awesome.
