Didn't do much else in his 7 other blue's games as well.

Bad timing for Mullen with that.

If NSW had the "stick with them" thinking when Mullo was first picked he would've got at least a few more games. Not that he should've been picked as early as he was anyway.

As unlikely (however awesome) as it is, if he were to win the Dally M, I wonder how much chance he'd have of making origin then. Bit of an interesting thing to think about, how many Dally M winners haven't played origin. Barber and Preston Campbell spring to mind right away.

Mullen's redemption might come in game 3 as Maloney is surely gone as is the ever overrated Mitchell Pearce. Mullen and Carney for game 3 if we are serious about winning.

I doubt they will bring in a new halves combo for game 3 despite how much we need it.

The only thing that gives Mullo and Carney a chance is that they've been there before. I like young Adam Reynold's kicking game but I doubt they'd blood a rookie for a decider. He should be 18th man. The one thing that worries be about Reynolds is that I fear he's being made to look better than he is with Souths massive forward pack and GI. Not sure how he'd handle origin. I like Albert Kelly too but Reynolds has the better kicking game and what we need is field position.

Barring injury, Daley with go with Pearce and Maloney, he won't want to feed the belief that NSW have panicked.

BUT, if they lose, Pearce and likely Maloney are finished for good, particularly Pearce who has now had 11 games of Origin and never really looked like a dominant player.

I think having Reynolds on the bench is an indulgence, he isn't a game breaker nor can he do the tough stuff.

Anyway its all a moot point, if the refs allow Qld the latitude they did last night, then it doesnt matter who NSW have, they won't win.

The refs allowed Qld to play exactly the game they wanted. Origin is a waste of time because an already great team is allowed to do pretty much whatever it wants, whenever it wants. The game was over after 20 mins last night, NSW didn't stand a chance.

Since I live in korea i try to watch as many games as i can. Whenever i watch other teams play, i always notice how good mullen's kicking game really is. The technique, the way the ball moves in the air and the amount of times his kicks find the grass is amazing.

Also, our forwards are the best at getting out of our half. I don't know if there are any stats to back up my statement, but, other teams dont make as many hard yards as we do. I think Mason and Snowden really need to be congratulated for their efforts week in week out.

Our wingers and centres lay a good platform for our forwards too.

Mullen's kicking game is outstanding. IMO he has had the best long kicking game in the comp for a couple of seasons now, but this year his short kicking game has lifted a lot.

Given how far Mullen has progressed under Bennett he could handle the 7 at origin level now. Play Carney outside of him because Carney is a 5/8 or fullback only.I believe they together would cause havoc for Qld. Reynolds has a long way to go before I will buy into the hype. Dureau could kill it behind that pack.

With Inglis set to miss up to 8 weeks with a PCL injury, the door is now wide open for Mullen to have a hot run home this year, have a crack at the Dally M and press claims for rep jumpers down the line. His time has never been more prime, I hope he and the team are up for the next 8 or so weeks. Season defining for the team, potentially career defining for Mullo.

Cool. Souths are no longer unbeatable, Storm look as shakey as I have ever seen then, Manly not as good as they were in seasons past, Roosters halves won't take them far into the finals. Us for the premiership?

The thing is this GI injury won't really affect Souths that much, he'll be back for the finals. They may get pipped for the minor premiership but that's it.

There is some fairytale bullshit going on with Souths. Refs are helping them along the way in games, the media are on their knees with their mouths wide open and talking their success up as a monumental occasion and something "historic". How grand it is for South Sydney, a team who died and came back is set to win the premiership. Inglis won't win the Dally M, but they'll give Sutton as many points as needed to make sure a South Sydney player wins it and furthermore, to provide yet another bullshit example as to how Sutton is the "form 5/8".

Unfortunately, Mullo is in a position where he'll be the odd one out. The guy no one really expected to be up there on the tally board because those same people spend their time talking up the select few.

Lol one step at a time Yosh. We still have to make the top 8 and not even that is guaranteed with the closeness of this competition.

I would love to see us belt the Roosters though. I have my reasons

Ahhhh... I still love how it has the scoreboard in the shot. Brilliant. Sercy also deserves a proper shoutout, he was the stand-in @ whenever I needed to expel the contents of my bladder. A bang-up job he did, too.

I do try and lol@Souffs as much as possible. Very glad to be able to give it to the wankers in game day threads.

In the Sharks match topic, Dally M came up. Thoughts?

If he was to win it, he'll get some attention but the rest will go towards how if they didn't get injured, Sutton or Inglis would have won it. Guarantee it. Without a doubt though, he deserves to be up there with the rest of the superstars of the game.
