I concur with this. Mullen playing against us would be like Ben Kennedy at Manly times a thousand. It would rip my heart out.

I'm not a fan of 5 year contracts in general as I'm convinced they can lead to complacency in a player. But Mullen is probably the only Knight who deserves one atm and besides he's never been a player to shirk hard work. In time, perhaps BJ and Dane deserve 5 year contracts, but not yet.
they are all class and will only go up in value, sign em now before someone like the roosters or broncos take them.

Mate, if Dane and Joey would sign 5 year deals , then I would sign them tomorrow.

They are going to be irreplaceable soon if their development keeps going at the same rate.

Agreed, Leilua is off-contract at the end of next year so he should be a priority to extend, after Mullen of course.

Gagai is here until the end of 2015 so we don't have to worry about him for a while.

Mullen, Roberts, gagai, leilua, rochow and Clydesdale should all be signed to long term contracts. They are the future of this club.

Joey Leilua should be extended now cos i have zero doubt he will be left centre for NSW for many years to come. Shift Jennings to the right.

Agreed, him and Gagai will be SOO mainstays over the coming years. A lethal combo when you throw one Aku Uate into the frame , we have a deadly backline on the way up.Lock em in while we can.

just read this in an interview with Mullen about this weekends game
"But Mullen will this weekend be backing their attack - namely centres Dane Gagai and Joseph Leilua - to finally overcome Newcastle's second half fadeouts that have cost them victory in their two regular season clashes with Melbourne this year.
"They are future Origin players for us," he said of their three-quarters."

Our backline are so good at getting yards when the forwards need a set to get their breath back. I believe they are the best backline in the game right now. Dobson is a very capable backup option for Tyro or Mullo. Things are good. I just wonder if Tyrone will be our 14. In fairness he has been superb the last three months at 7.I guess time will tell.

I'll be absolutely clueless if Tyrone ever goes to 14. Since Gower came, he's been incredible and week in, week out is improving finding more confidence, coming up with plays when the teams needs them.

There won't be a more deserving Dally M winner. He will sweep the club awards this year.

I can't possibly imagine him winning the Dally M. I think he'll come down to the final few but fade away and someone like Inglis or Cronk will get it.

Inglis has had a fair few weeks out with injuries. Cronk hasn't really been a stand out and a lot of points from the storm end up going to smith and slater. Carney has been injured a lot and josh Reynolds form dropped off after origin. The cowboys had a strong run home so JT may have made a late charge.

JT has had an ordinary year IMO, he's becoming one of the more over rated players in the game IMO.

It's going to either Sutton or Cronk. Cronk got three against the Tigers in a game where his performance was as woeful as the weather. Number of kicks out of the full, no spark, nothing. Sutton could get it off the back of the Souths glorification.

Carney a month or two ago was on fire. Consistent performances but he dropped off way too much to be considered and as for JT, he's only had six good performances all year

We probably lost too many games for Mullen to get it. Boyd will steal some of his points I would think as well.

He'll be very close IMO, def top 3.

I can see Thurston getting it on the back of like 15 points from the cows last 6 games - i thought he has been pretty ordinary all season including their late run but he is a media darling who collects votes for turning up.
