Right so BA isn’t just copping it on the chin, he is actually defending referees as well and justIfying their decisions? Seems a fairly significant detail to leave out until now.

By all means if it makes BA feel better, have a whinge to the media.

However, I reckon the more effective thing to do is to have an ongoing dialogue behind the scenes. Any clubs that are getting a better rub of the green over the long term are probably spending more time doing this rather than whinging to the media.

Even then, any influence you can have is fairly limited imo.

Beuhrer was tackled on the ground momentum stopped, he then passed ... it happens like that all the time on the last ... people obsess over the arm carrying the ball touching the ground - it doesnt have to - merkins are held off the ground all the time

Agree ... last night wasnt that bad .... i think there were inconsistencies which the knights probably got the better of with piggy backs out of their half, but all in all it wasnt particularly bad ... we were just poo

That was a legit call.
He was held on the ground, no question.

My only issue was that I thought it was supposed to be a penalty.
Did they change that rule?

Nah, because it was the last tackle the ball is dead / out of play the moment the tackled player is called held. So what he does after (pass the ball) has happens while the ball is not in play

BA can spend all day, every day talking to the refs about bad calls, but there's no assurance it will make a difference.
Refs will call whatever they think they need to call. Nothing BA (or any coach or player) can do about it.
