I just read the first however many pages of this thread. Most people were sad, some angry. What was interesting were the few people saying he is no chance of making it because all NFL players were freaks.

What was also interesting were people saying we'd be better off without Hayne. I'm yet to see it.

Not better off this year....but better off in the long run.

Not that I believe that or anything. Hayne was a once in a lifetime player.

Very happy for Jarryd. He's being the dream he lives for. It seems that he ain't letting doubt and uncertainty get in the way of the dream he's creating reality out of. Jarryd is going with the flow of his dream and it seems many yanks and Aussies are going with him too. Whether he makes it big this season or next is not the issue because it seems that he is making it happen anyway - we're witnessing the "time" involved in the ripening of his dream. He already looks the part. He really is a natural freak of nature. Even though I want him to come home to the Eels, I wish him all the best and will be watching al his games and backing him all the way.

I always thought he was going to make it, and have never said otherwise. The fact that he is even getting a run in the pre-season games is a huge accomplishment, and from what little I've seen of him in the training camp, he should make the roster. It all hangs on how he goes in his first pre-season game this weekend.

The thing about us being better off without him is a long term thing. He was such a strong force in the team, that the rest of the team didn't need to work as hard to fill up the skill gap between Parra and the other teams, him leaving widens that gap, requiring us to fill that by the rest of the squad upping their games to "make up the difference". Not something that can happen right away, but in the long run, they'll be a stronger team for not having him to make up for the short comings of the rest of the team.

It'll take a while, but they'll get there. It was going to happen eventually, may as well have happened now as any other time.

The real sucky thing is now I have to follow two NFL teams.. thankfully they are in different conferences so I don't have to cheer against Hayne (unless a miracle happens and the 49'ers and the Colts meet in the Superbowl, but hey, that's highly unlikely to happen, and if by some change it does, the Colts will smash them.)

You can sign up for NFL game pass for a free 7 day trial.

Sounds like he will get a bit of a run in this first one. Looking forward to it. Amazing that he has made the squad even for a pre season match as a RB.

Hitler?

So...he didn't try to wipe out an entire religion?

That's a relief - but someone should tell the Jews...

No. It was an attempt at what seems to be now called ethnic cleansing.

It also included gypsies, homosexuals and political dissidents. Nothing to do with religion.

The anti-semitism was borne out of centuries of Christian dogma, to claim it had nothing to do with religion is disingenuous.

The hatred was a result of needing someone to blame for the economic woes of Germany. I've not read anything that indicates it was persecution based on religious beliefs or anything to indicate any christian beliefs at all were involved.

And it's truly f**king up this thread.
