I first thought he was a poly, but they mentioned him being from QLD.

His first hit was enormous, but so was his error. Promising start though.

The error was him trying to do much and I think he will never do that again. If you can't pass that far then just run it and I think he was just trying to fit in and pushed it. The thing I didn't like was it seemed everyone was just like f**k and nobody went over to the poor bloke to tell him chin up and all that other rubbish you don't want to hear when you f**k up!

you're right, i remember that now.

Jason played at Aspley from U10 to U17, kept on getting overlooked for rep sides etc, moved to Norths in Brisbane as Aspley wouldn't give him a shot in Colts, went to an open trial at Cronulla and the rest, as they say, is history.

A couple of other players from the Aspley team he played with have gone on to better things as well, but for the life of them they couldn't win a premiership.
