As you are aware, Cardy, most people in Victoria call league and union 'Rugby', league and union confuse them and they don't care for either code. Having said that, why don't we take an origin game to Melbourne. What's even weirder 90 000 will turn up to watch a game they don't like nor care for. I think they will attend because they believe the rubbish Bill Lawry sprouts each summer that Melbourne is the 'sporting capital of the World'.

After living in Victoria for the best part of 10 years, I gotta hand it to them. Victorians do show up to any 'big' sporting event as part of their 'sporting capital of the world' mantra.

They don't have the first clue about the actual sport being played, except for fumbleball obviously and arguably cricket, but they still show up and pretend they know what's going on.

It's still hilarious sitting in on any Storm game and listening to 95% of their supporters explain to a friend how the game works, or having a go at the referee. But lack of idea doesn't stop them from showing up, it is a good thing.

Who knows what the cops say they had him for. Are you really saying that you wouldn't rat out some guys that you work with if it meant not spending time in the slammer?

Just because you work with someone, it doesn't make them a good mate.

I wasn't bought up to be a dobber, so no, I wouldn't snitch to save my own arse. Would you? I'm guessing you would.

You know the risks when you play that game. It comes with the territory.

He's a weak K.Hunt.

You'd never know what you'd do unless you were in his shoes.

If he threw a bunch of guys under a bus to lessen a fine or something minor, I might agree with you. But if he was facing jail time, I couldn't hold it against him. In the same situation I'd do just about anything to get out of being locked up.

Was funny reading about the Suns clown when he was crying "but it is our 100th game".

As if it is means shit to anyone.

3AW (Melbourne Radio) seriously tried to claim that this was "code wars", and that it the timing was such to deflect attention from their 100th game!

That is really grasping for a reason and it exactly the stuff they accuse Rugby League of being uptight about.

It's laughable, to suggest that this was the reason for the timing, as a) Nobody would give a shit and b) they are the bottom team in the comp.

I gotta say Im loving being in Melbourne at the moment.

I'm shit scared of gaol too, so I stay clear of activities that could lead me there.
Pretty simple really.
Shows he is willing to share the good times with his 'mates', but when it comes to the crunch he is all about himself.

http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/suns-turn-up-the-heat-on-players-over-drug-claims-20150630-gi1h81

This came as Fairfax Media was contacted on Tuesday by a member of the public offering to sell four photographs of one high-profile Suns player using drugs in a hotel room in Melbourne. The man asked for $15,000 for the photographs - which Fairfax Media declined.

He said the photographs were not of Hunt or captain Gary Ablett.

Fairfax would have no problem paying double if it was an NRL player
