9 news in Queensland focused on the Thuns
seems the Thuns want the names of the players so they can sweep it under the carpet
Wow, talk about throwing your mates under a bus
what a merkin.
Like the AFL don't know exactly who they are, they have likely covered up their positive drug tests under the guise of their 4 strike policy. Is it just a coincidence that the AFL have recently said they won't release the positive test statistics this year, wonder why?:sarcasm:
Eade said to date there had been no facts, but “a fair bit of mud slung”.
“I think we get facts, it may be there are some players there that aren’t at the club any more. People slinging mud ... a lot of people will be making phone calls and trying to get some snippets, but we have to deal in facts. We can’t hang people on ... whispers,” he said.
AFL must step up fight against drugs
The apparent drug culture in the AFL is again under the spotlight, this time over the weekend allegations from Karmichael Hunt of widespread cocaine use at the Gold Coast Suns at their Mad Monday and an end of season golfing trip.
The fact Hunt himself admits to using ecstasy and cocaine since he was “22 or 23” shows drug testing in the game is obviously not working.
Surely the next step for the AFL is to contact the Queensland Crime and Corruption unit to get the names of players who partied 24/7 alongside Hunt in September last year.
And then to lay charges.
The Essendon scandal was bad enough.
What parent would want their child playing a sport where performance enhancing and recreational drugs are so easy to come by?
Three cheers for the Rugby League Trojan Horse.
Gallop, because he's the hero the NRL deserve but not the one it needs right now. and all this time we thought they stole him from the NRL...the NRL secretly sent him in. now he just has to cause damage to yawnion
