Or the Gilbert O Sillivan song referring to the DragonsI just hope we also sign that young Brayden Gilbert from the Cowboys who also plays in the halves..
How awesome would a halves pairing of Gilbert & Sullivan be?
You can just imagine the Dragon Army standing there on the hill, all belting out:
“We are the mighty Dragons of St George and Illawarra
We’ve defeated Canterbury, Manly and Canberra
We have different home grounds, playing in many localities
From Wollongong to Kogarah we’ve got players in many categories”
Was it Jayden Sullivan playing in the Koori cup?
If it was he is going to be a star.
It was Carlton
He was playing against some very experienced old heads in those games, first graders and some of the brightest prospects coming through the ranks and looked like a seasoned professional. He was only 17? I think and yet was physically holding his own, directing the team around and putting together some really creative plays.
He is the real deal.
Carlton agree lets hope it works out that way.
And we get the best out of him
Ty Wishart is looking good as a 5/8I am very happy that we have secured young Jayden Sullivan. The reports on him are fantastic. I have only seen highlights of him, but he looks to have a complete game for a halfback. He has a good short and long passing game, good running game and good short kicking game. I know it is a massive step to first grade and many don't make it, but at least we have him in our system. Good halves are very hard to come by. His is slightly built right now. He has even already been compared to Thurston.
But too early for Sullivan to take the #7 jersey from Shannon Crook.1. Evander Cummins

7. Jayden Sullivan

They've just signed Sam Walker from Ipswich, turns 17 this week.all sounds good until the roosters decide they may need him.
I agree that pairing him with Norman to start his career off would be good. Norman would be able to take control of the game and let Sullivan find his feet in first grade.superstar! Id love to see him paired up with NORMAN ohh yeahh!
I am well aware of Sullivan's slight build. I am also well aware that many young prospects, especially halves don't make it.Take your word for it Frank as I've yet to see the kid in action- however, at 17, he will take time to physically develop and this may take a long time or maybe never happen. One of the problems with Dufty is that his body is not a friend to him and his obsession to play full-back. . He's 24 and still struggling to put on weight. At 83 kgs he is the lightest full-back I'm aware of in the NRL. In fact, if Mary and the SGI HIgh Performance Unit staff had any sense, they would take him aside and tell him that the stats don't lie and he just doesn't have the skill set and body type to play full-back- ever!.
However, he does have a great passing and running game and he and Field may provide the halves combo to follow Hunt and Norman before, hopefully, Jayden is ready to step up to the plate in about 5 years time.
It shouldn't have been a difficult signing, but if he was being chased by several clubs, as reports suggest, then we did well to secure his signature. Was it a very difficult signing?
I enjoy reading your reports on young talent.Ty Wishart is looking good as a 5/8
He has been out injured this year and has bulked up.
Looks as strong as his old man and more skillful.
