Remember Brett Stewart? That is why I never jumped to conclusions he was guilty. Feel bad for him he lost years of his life due to this shit and won’t be again.
2.5 years off work with full 6 figure pay for consensual buttsex with a random. Poor bastard.

If Hayne and a young Pacific Islander player had done the bun in Wollongong with this girl do you reckon they'd have been found not guilty?
If JDB was the guy involved in the Newcastle girl bleeding while taxi waiting outside would he have been found guilty?
I reckon in those situations Hayne and the young Islander go to prison and JDB gets off. It is unconscious racism by the juries. Also it sounds like Hayne and his supporters presented a bit arrogant in court whereas JBD more polite.
You can see why a higher proportion of black people end up found guilty watching these two cases.

Geez what a load of rubbish.

Disgraceful post.

Who let Hayne get a laptop into prison?

If and when the NRL allow him to resume playing, I suspect he may play in NSW Cup for a week or two to get back rid of the rust before the Dragons look to play him in first grade, and even then he may start off the bench until he can build up to proper match fitness.

That's a fair option too.

Read earlier the "paperwork" has already been lodged and the Dragons were hoping for a result as early as today. Was in "The Age" although I can't find the link again to post here..

I thought so too but the article says he's been on 1k a week for the last two years.

Further to that - the amount he would have paid in legal costs...

His salary isn't going straight into his pocket - 2 trials and now with charges dropped......

The Dragons management gets bagged by many - including much of its fan base. But in this instance I'm "proud" that they've act how they have through this whole process. It would have been easy to cut the cord early, chase other talent and distance themselves from Jack. They didn't do that... I think it's very honorable how they've managed the whole thing.

It's nothing to do with a jury verdict which may have gone any of three ways. They stuck by him until a result was reached.

Also it was not like he was sitting around doing nothing. We know due to constant media reports during his layoff that De Belin was at Dragons training unless he was due in court or attending his solicitor's as part of his defence. As such he was keeping up his fitness as much as possible even though he could not play.
