Brad Arthur gets mileage out of older reliable players. Scott, De Gois, Wicks. I have no doubt Robson will do a job for us which will allow Norman to have pressure off his shoulders

I was hoping he would be the calming influence Johnson needs

He's gonna need one hell of a defender outside him - as jaseg said, it's his outside shoulder that is the issue. It can't defend. He's absolutely fine on attack, with a guy as gifted as Norman he just has to do what he did v the Dragons to be effective.

But hey I hope the guy goes well. Good on him being back with his family.

Godinet, Maloney, Townsend, Leuluai, Robson, Lolohea and Lino. None have been a huge success. Maloney was probably the best.
Hope someone solves the problem soon.

Don't think Godinet or Lino ever partnered Johnson in the halves.

Mateo and TL definitely aren't halves.

I'd add Lolohea to that too, but it doesn't really matter if you think otherwise - he's partnered Johnson for just 16 minutes.

Robson was always bad.

Leaving Maloney (who formed a good partnership) and Townsend - a young guy I think did quite well here, aside from the 2nd half of last year, where I assume either injury or personal circumstance (the reason he got his release) had his form way down.

Whether or not we think Leuluai is a half (I am with you, he's not), the coach and the Warriors 'brains' trust clearly do... and so he must be considered that way - they ditched Townsend for him too

At the end of the day, I thought Robson would compliment Johnson ok as an interim measure, he wasn't good, but neither is Thomas

Yep I wouldn't be blaming Johnson for the fact that she's had a revolving cast of no hopers outside him all career. For some reason though #6 had always been our problem, Jones had a large number of ordinary players outside him too.

Yeah but my point was that it's hardly Johnson's fault if the coach can't comprehend TL isn't a half. The only two decent (and actual) halves he's been paired with, have both formed combinations I liked. Of the other two with any significant minutes, one's a hooker and the other has spent his career being sub-NRL standard.
