The Sharks Jersey Flegg side plays the undefeated competition leading Sydney Roosters at Henson Park on Saturday in a curtain raiser to Newtown's Premier League and Jim Beam Cup matches.
In their previous clash the Sharks led the all-conquering Roosters outfit until a couple of late tries against the run of play swung the fortunes against a gallant Sharks team.
Their match will kick off at 11.30am. The Sharks Premier League team will play the match before the Sharks-Roosters NRL match, kicking off at 1.00pm on Sunday at Aussie Stadium.
So its game over. Anyone got a result? I think we may have been a slight show, as our club is keeping a few players in Flegg for a finals run, who otherwise may have been promoted by now.
Not a good result, example where in front shouldnt lose, then sin bin and fall apart, that is not the shark way, where was the heart and never so die attitude, making desperate tackles, and our great goal line defence, forgot, we dont play like that anymore
Against a team who just won their 20th consecutive match of the season. Lets face it, the Roosters are ther Man United of Jersey Flegg. Their recruitment strategy is to buy everyone. I'd love to know how much they spend on their lower grades. I think the figure would shock a few people.
To be 6-4 up with 15 to go is a pretty decent effort. Who knows, it may have been a dodgy call to sin bin our bloke. If we can go that close against the Roosters, this team may be a chance of reaching the last 4 in Flegg.
