Probably because American Football is only really played in North America, so it would be weird to compare ourselves to NFL in Spain, Russia and Fiji.

It’s an appropriate strategy for the US but elsewhere it would just muddy the waters further

We always compare ourselves to Union and wonder why people confuse the 2 sports. For a lot of people, their very first thought of RL would be “how is this different from that othere one?”

But if we tell new fans to think of American Football without the blocking ir forward pass, this new sport is different enough to be interesting and distinguishable from the original (AF)

Plus, it wouldnt be a bad think to ride on their coattails for a bit of exposure.

Russell Crowe did this in 2007 on the Jay Leno show. He cut a video that ran through rugby league and its structure similarities to NFL.

Watching some old origin highlights last night got me all nostalgic about QLD jerseys. I hate the gold...it slowly crept in and before we knew it the white was gone. I am happy to concede that the gold is here to stay here is a mock up of what I would love to see.

God I hope the nonsense ends too, but I won't get my hopes up. Grey has been more prominent in our jerseys than gold the last few years FFS.

A black stripe either side of the white would create better contrast, but that works
