It's laughable that both clubs have come out demanding an explanation from NZRL why their players weren't properly supervised. These are grown men we are talking about- stop trying to lay the blame elsewhere.

I've been at the pub with workmates twice in the last few days and heard "shall we get a bag" on both occasions, and I doubt we earn a quarter of what they do.

At around $300+ per gram, you need to have some serious disposable income to do that regularly.

Coke prices in Australia practically fund bikie clubs lifestyle.

Lol, Bikies don't have f**k all to do with Coke. It's a higher end market run by CEO's and Bank managers, business people. Someone is doing some serious importing somewhere though, look at the current demand !!

That sounds like the sort of thing people invent to make themselves feel better about being involved in illicit drug use.

My point about the cost still stands however.

Yep. The nosebeers is imported from central and south America by high earning, well educated business men who use their street contacts to maintain a network of dealers who move the product for them. Lol shut up you armchair expert.

Stupid NZRL must have assumed a test captain and a club captain could go out by themselves and behave like mature adults. Clubs are doing players no favours by coddling them & making excuses for them.

Where are ASADA in all of this? Kicked up a massive stink around 'the darkest day' with zero evidence - no failed tests, no videos of people taking anything, but caused the ultimate shit storm...
Here we have concrete evidence and an admission of illicit drug usage, yet we have silence.
They should be in tested the three players - and a positive ASADA test during competition is a mandatory 2 year ban.
Surely they'd be more interested in a cast iron case like this....?? And surely if the NRL were serious about cleaning up the game, they'd be pushing for ASADA involvement... they would if it didn't involve certain favoured clubs...
Illicit drugs have nothing to do with ASADA unless a positive test has been returned 'in competition'. The NRL test for illicit drugs, not ASADA.

100% One the next Cpt of Melbourne, the other only left the Storm this year. So they come out & suspend JB for 2 games & he's no longer a co-Cpt.

Melbourne Storm, the culture club alright.

the clubs are well within their rights to question the protocols and resources of the national team..it's the national team ffs, they should be more defined.. all clubs are used to a football manager who is responsible for ensure there is at least some level of responsibility by the club to ensure no mischief occurs, after all it's their brand that gets damaeged...where was the kiwi football manager?

on another note, this has to put the spotlight on the melbourne storm and a possible drug culture down there that gets missed because they're away from the sydney media spotlight, and the melbourne media don't care about them

I know something ridiculous when I read it. How do these CEOs and bank managers maintain their grip on the cocaine market? When the Bikies and other organise crime groups try to get in on the action do the bank managers tool up and clip a few people? Lol come the f**k on. Maybe a bored or desperate business man occasionally gets involved but suggesting ceo's and bank managers run the cocaine market in Australia is up there with the most ridiculous comments ive seen on this site.
