@Tigerm,
Would you agree that this team begins a lot of games where they haven’t “shown up” and are behind early?
Would you agree this team clocks off for substantial periods of most games, allowing the opposition to score multiple tries?
Do you consider the majority of our attack to impose strategic plays that result inevitably in tries scored, or are a lot of them individual brilliance and luck?
Do you consider our defensive techniques and attitude to have improved, especially on the edges?
Would you say that this team are playing for each other and are all desperate to win?
Does it strike you that the squad are listening to the coaches?
It is claimed that the boys are training\preparing well, why are these practices not being translated to game day?

Madge is failing mate. He can’t turn it around.

I think either Madge needs a change of approach/tactics or we need a coach who has been a more recent player.

But some players need to be moved on aswell becuase we need a new cheif play maker.

100% mate, I’m not blaming Madge in isolation. His assistant coaches are all f**ked and he has a lazy, disinterested roster. He also has a senior management team better suited to exiting a f**king clown car…

It's a hard one hey. It actually seems like all the young players are interested which makes me want to give him one more year and then he goes and gets a Tamou and he has been the most quiet so called captain of all time but it seemed like a good signing based on last year. You can't help that sometimes. Like yes Tamou was in a good team but he played well in that team as well.

NO, I believe it's more the players than the coaching staff?

They have played well in some games, but not putting in most games, so we know they can do it.

If it is purely the players, then why is there very little repercussions for them deliberately disobeying the coaching staff?

IMO, because we have no one else, the forwards seem to be moving in the right direction, but we are horribly short on decent backs, probably our worse signing is Nofo?

We do have others. There is 30 players to choose from. Some never see the light of day despite the fact those keeping them out of first grade are hopeless.
The forwards got crushed last week and tomorrow they will be eviserated. They lose the ruck most weeks but there are signs they will be ok IF we put a seasoned hard nosed prop and backrower with them.
I agree the Noffo signing and the length of the contract is pathetic.

Agree re a hard arse forward is required.

Yes, we haven’t tried all the reserve grade players, but we have tried quite a few and those a lot of who we have tried in the backs, haven’t put their hand up to be constantly selected, which is a worry?

Lee H was on SEN this morning and said 'we are disappointed with the season and will be carrying out a full review after the final game." He wasnt asked to but didn't publicly endorse Madge as he has done on previous Wed segments which I found interesting.

Good interview with Buzz Rothfield on BSB today. Spoke openly about his desire to have his mate Flanagan get the job. Also said the finger needs to be pointed at Pascoe for appointing Sheens to a position without a job description.

It seems Madge is a dead man walking so the conversation will turn to replacements pretty quickly.

I cant say I know whether Morris would be able to attract players but I do think he would get the current squad playing a better brand of football very quickly.

The lack of structure in attack was evident again yesterday. Majority of players standing far too flat when we have the ball.

I might be wrong, but wasn't Morris punted specifically because he couldn't attract big name players?

I admit I might have this wrong.
Probably true but we had built a handy side from what we had in the wardrobe . We had those young blokes playing well before Morris got the coaches job. And he did well until the money came on stream. We really could not afford to buy what we have now as Flanno spent big on trash and then extended them when those players were carrying big injuries. Then left.
Get Morris as assistant to build a young team for the future, look at building the culture . You guys need to get moving now. Don’t end up like us in the wilderness with a dumb coach and worn out players.

Morris is the last coach you guys need. He might make a good HC one day but he needs more time as an AC to learn his craft.
