Just heard on the news Johns may infact switch codes but still Newcastle believe they can retain him. I say stuff waiting around, go out and offer Orford his 500,000 or maybe 450,000 and sign him up that way we arent left with nothing at the end of it cos i will be fuming if Johns leaves and we r left with no one!!!!

Antonious made a comment similiar to this on another post....In my opinion Johns is on the verge of going from Messiah to Pariah.

His credibility is on the line and I am of the opinion that he is about to move on and I will find it hard to support and understand his decision.

This is based simply on the fact that he is about to bite the hand that fed him for many years. He could and should have simply told the Knights that he would go to Union if the price was right. He should, as I have called for, declared his intentions to allow the Knights to better plan their contract negotiations but now he thought about himself and no body else. But given that he has been earning close to a million dollars a year (contract and endorsements) for the past three years who could forgive for being worried about the future (Yes my tongue is firmly in my cheek).

I am pissed off at the moment not at his decision per se but at his contempt for the club and the supporters.

I also believe that we just have to move on, I wouldn't think badly of the club if they came out tomorrow and said they were withdrawing the contract.

At the end of the day its not the fact that hes going to union, its simply that its taken 6 months and a lot of backflips from him and his management. Plus he's put the club in an awkward position with his selfishness.

Its seems it has always been about the money, and nobody will believe anything he says again.

I for one would not like to see him return to the team for the finals even if he is fit, he doesn't deserve it.

I saw him injured at Parra and that will be the last time I ever watch him play, its over and out for Union.

ah yes it is all very boring. Johns could easily put an end to it all with a simple statement. Instead he is dragging the code through the mud and taking focus away from the football. Im no expert but from what I have heard and read he is gone for sure, so its time for the Knights to move on. NO PLAYER is bigger then the club or the code despite what he may think.
