Johnson pranced around looking for hero plays. He did a cross field kick on inside his own 20 on the second tackle and turned it over. Went for the miracle rainbow pass off a scrum on the first tackle inside their 20. Both plays came up snake eyes. All talent and no grit. Very glad to be rid of him.

He's a bit of a conundrum for me. Was not overly impressed with him the first year he signed, loved him the second, then last year the wheels just fell off. Seemingly no commitment and then the walkout to head back home when the season was far from done.

That last one pretty much put me in camp @coolumsharkie.

You blokes act like you have never been employed.

Personally I do not care if the shareholders are happy with my effort.

I am sure every coles worker cannot wait for the shareholders to be happy, or perhaps they just do the job asked of.

But for some reason NRL players must love the shareholders first, forget teammates, coaches, it is all about the shareholders.

I don't think anyone is really saying that. What has most of us pissed off is his, seemingly, me-first attitude.
It's a team sport and, injured or not, you should be there on game day if you are part of the team. Particularly if the injury is only a soft-tissue injury.

I watched the Panthers with interest last year and couldn't help but admire how much they all seemingly bought in to the team-first attitude.
Injured players were always there on game day. Even watching the reggies / juniors. And the one little thing I noticed was at half time they all gathered as a group and jogged to the sheds together. It's a small thing but, to me, it helps foster a culture of inclusion. We are one.

Compare that with a player who lived within spitting distance of the ground but couldn't be bothered turning up on game day. A senior player at that.

What kind of culture does that drive?

I'd love for things to have turned out differently with him as he is an undeniable talent (or was), but I can't help but feel glad he has moved on.

That analogy needs some context Mr Angry

The Coles employee = NRL club ball boy
Coles CEO = Mr Johnson’s role

Shareholders are very much interested in CEO performance.

If coles workers got paid a Million bucks there would be so much love in there it would be full of wet floor signs

Roosters do the same you are at the game, can already see Fitz at play, Ronaldo was at Jets game on Saturday.
To me all players should be there, all in culture

Swing it around, should we wildly cheer at the coles and woolies workers every time we do our shopping? No, so it's a ridiculous comparison.

Not a team player in a team sport last year. Prior to that, no issue with the bloke. Last year was a bitch on the all and sundry, he doesn’t however help his cause by instagramming everything relating to bailing out of here to go home.
He will do well post game in commentary, soap star on Shortland Street or weather man.
Good luck Shaun

During the years you all hate Shaun, we paid Andrew 850K to not play and when did was on one leg, but f**k me if that ain't just fine.

But hey blame the halfback when our best forward is missing.

It is the shark way.

I already feel for Nicho, when we also ran, you all will hate the guy.

Fifita is a club legend who won us a comp and nearly died after a game. SJ has done f**kall, here or NZ.

Who said we hated him for all of his tenure?

We hated his shit attitude upon Bomber being axed and his juicy contract disappearing. His injury problems just made that worse. Hard to deny that given he is now out. Again.
