Nothing on the Dragons website, typical.

Just a small twitter post only.

Several media have a post on their websites about JP's incident including ZT, Sporting News and Fox Sports. Us just crickets!!

Just goes to show how much they care, or don't.
Is this really a moment to be club bashing?

St George Illawarra have confirmed that winger Jordan Pereira has undergone scans in hospital after a sickening fall playing for the club's Canterbury Cup side on Saturday.

Video uploaded to social media by dual-International Wendell Sailor - who was watching son Tristan play against Newtown at Henson Park - showed Pereira producing an acrobatic finish to score a try before being bumped in mid-air, landing awkwardly.

He was stretchered from the field in a neck brace and taken to hospital for scans. Initial reports suggest he suffered a concussion but further scans will be required to ascertain the full extent of any other injuries.

The club updated fans via twitter on Saturday evening saying: "Jordan Pereira remains in hospital and is awaiting follow up scans. We'll update #redv members and fans when all relevant information is available."

Dragons winger Jordan Pereira remains in hospital in a "serious" condition after a horror accident while scoring a try in Saturday's reserve grade game in Sydney.

Pereira landed awkwardly on his head and neck as he flipped over after scoring a try in the 13th minute in St George Illawarra's NSW Premiership Canterbury Cup loss to Newtown at Henson Park.

He was stretchered off and taken to hospital, but as of Sunday night, the full extent of any possible injury is yet to be determined.

A New Zealander who had played in Samoa, Perth and Mackay, Pereira came to St George Illawarra in 2017 after missing out on a contract with North Queensland.

Making his debut last season, Pereira scored three tries in nine games and was part of the Dragons' finals campaign, including the shock 48-18 elimination final win over Brisbane and the thrilling semi-final loss to South Sydney.

The 26-year-old had lived up to his potential with five tries in as many games to kick off this year's campaign, but fell out of favour during the Dragons' five-game losing streak which has seen them plummet out of the top eight.

The Dragons released a statement on Saturday night, but concerns remained about Pereira's welfare late on Sunday.

"Jordan Pereira remains in hospital and is awaiting follow up scans. We'll update #redv members and fans when all relevant information is available," the club posted on Twitter. A video uploaded to social media by former Broncos, Dragons, Queensland and Australia player Wendell Sailor - who was watching son Tristan play against Newtown - showed Pereira being bumped in the act of scoring the try in the corner.

Pereira landed on his head and neck and remained concussed on the ground.

The Dragons take on fourth-placed Canberra at WIN Stadium on Sunday night, likely needing to win seven of their remaining nine games this season to secure a spot in the top eight.

With Tariq Sims suspended, Tyson Frizell and Paul Vaughan are in the NSW team for Wednesday's State of Origin decider, with Ben Hunt and Corey Norman in the Queensland line-up.

St George Illawarra and the rugby league community were last night anxiously awaiting the results of scans that will reveal the severity of the injury Jordan Pereira suffered while playing for the Dragons’ Canterbury Cup team on Saturday.

The Dragons winger was rushed to hospital after falling awkwardly on his head while scoring an athletic try in the corner against Newtown at Henson Park.

Dual international Wendell Sailor – who was watching his son Tristan play in the same match – uploaded vision of the incident to social media.

While there was no foul play involved, Pereira landed in an awkward position after a Newtown player colided with him in mid-air.

He was rushed to hospital after lying motionless on the turf following the incident. Several people who attended the match said on social media that Pereira had been moving his arms and legs before leaving the field in a neck brace.

However, there had been no official update by 7pm last night. The only update provided by the Dragons regarding the severity of Pereira’s injury was that he remains in hospital.

The club was mindful of having the full diagnosis at hand before providing any more information.

"Jordan Pereira remains in hospital and is awaiting follow-up scans," the Dragons said via Twitter on Saturday night. "We’ll update #redv members and fans when all relevant information is available."

Pereira burst onto the scene last year as a promising talent for Paul McGregor’s team in their run to the club’s semi-final loss to the Rabbitohs.

He started this season alongside Mikaele Ravalawa as McGregor’s first choice wingers but after scoring five tries in the first six matches of the season, Pereira struggled to make an impact through a lean patch for the club and was relegated to Canterbury Cup duties.

He hasn’t played ahead of the club’s round 13 win over the Bulldogs last month.
