Agree - not sure why the drama, as there would be a significant number on the nose beers. Rightly or wrongly - not judging. Trying to hide it will cost him.
I suspect this isn’t Fox’s first rodeo on this subject…. For all we know, he may already have had 2 strikes, as they remain anonymous, shut a 3rd strike would see him out.

FACTS

Why the hell are recreational drugs tested for. Who gives a f**k what a player does on his time off.
Because people high as a kite aren't well placed to drive cars?

Lots of NRL players do drugs, coke especially, and no one is the wiser. It only comes out if you're a) dumb enough to drive b) hang out with dumb people c) dumb enough to do it in a public place (Reece Walsh, Kalyn Ponga etc)

So really, you're right,no one cares. One bump recreationally doesn't do a lot in the grand scheme. But just don't be a f**king idiot and break my three golden rules

No it's Charlie.

'Has anyone seen *Charlie*? He was only here a minute ago. Let me go have a look for him'

Keep it a secret though. Police officers in three quarter pants haven't caught on yet.

I remember overhearing a phone conversation with a former mate and a customer of his.
It went something like:

"You want Charlie to come to your party? Yeah Charlie's great fun at parties. How long did you want Charlie to stay at your party? Did you want Charlie to be there just for one day? Or do you want Charlie to party for longer? I can arrange for Charlie to stay as long as you want. Let me call Charlie and I'll call you back to let you know if I could get a hold of Charlie".

I said "Could you possibly make it more obvious what your talking about?" and he flew off the handle saying "no one knows what 'Charlie' means". Clown.

One of countless reasons he is now a "former" mate.

The saddest part about this story is that Charlie never made it to the party that night.

He failed the test, he obviously snorted some coke in the 24-48 hours prior to that road side stop but who wouldn't deny it when your on that type of wicket (550k a year as a winger) and it has the potential to cost you your job.
