Is this what happened?

It's being reported that
he met her once then she called him months later claiming she was pregnant
she didn't allow him to attend any doctors visits on any of the 3 supposedly fake pregnancies (wtf?)
among other bizarre things that surely should ring a few alarm bells

What would you do tough guy? Demand her to produce ovulation charts and then slam the door in her face?

Shit, a paternity test maybe? Apparently he didn't even get as far as a doctors visit! Especially if I'm a famous wealthy person who might be a target for scams.

Okay so you can get a prenatal paternity test. Didn't know that

You're smarter than Josh - congratulations.

Why the need to hang shit on him though? He could be the victim in all this.

I just think its insane that he could get so deep into this without something clicking
If it bothers you I'm sorry for saying "haha" about Josh's situation.

The No fault stand down policy is an absolute joke.

I get JR might be innocent, but so might be JDB.

So we have the NRL here making a judgement call on likely guilt, based on what the accuser says, the player says and any available video put up on socials!

So much for "Any player charged" etc etc.

For the record, I'm not advocating that JR be stood down, or that JDB should have been or should be, just that for christ sake NRL, be consistent.

She has got 6 other guys into this situation. Its really easy to spot when the newpaper is laying it out for you. She is a con artist not just a liar.

Absolutely.
Based on what has been shown via video and reported, none of the behaviour from either party is normal or can be condoned
This is an extremely toxic relationship that probably should have ended for the benefit of both parties a long time ago
Dude, this isn't a "toxic" relationship. This is straight up deception coming from one party. It's alleged there were multiple faked pregnancies ending in miscarriage, faked death of her mother, faked cancer, fake names, financial scams. We don't know much about Josh's behaviour in this relationship other than 1) the fact that he was willing to stick around and support some chick he (thought) got pregnant after one encounter, and 2) a 30 second clip with no real context that was filmed surreptitiously by her and after she appears to have instigated some kind of incident.

It's not like Josh is coming home for dinner to find tuna casserole on the table and then starts swinging.

And i say this as a person whose parents should have divorced a long time before they finally pulled the trigger. And they had a fairly amicably divorce, but as an adult now i look back on moments in my early years and see they we're in a bad spot for a long time
Was one of your parents a pathological liar who engaged in vile acts of deception for financial gain as alleged here? Dude, my parents argued and yelled at each other almost every day, but neither of them pulled any of this shit. Ever. I don't see how even my situation would be remotely comparable to this one, and I wouldn't even try to put myself in his shoes and believe I would have acted in any particular way because of what I witnessed with my parents.

No. They aren't. They're making a judgement on the seriousness of the charges and the effect on the competition's publicity.

JR, even worst-case if guilty, is not looking at a jail term. Slap on the wrist.
JDB is looking at more than a decade in jail if guilty.

This is not an apples to apples comparison.
The way some of you think the NRL should apply "consistency" would have a 10km speeding fine treated the same as murder.

I agree that the NRL are consistently inconsistent, but the difference between JDB & JR is that JDB is charged with an offence with a possible gaol term of more than 11 years in which it is compulsory, JR charged with an offence with max term under 11 years therefore at Toddies discretion.

And the difference between Walker and Reynolds?

It is no fault stand down though. So that evidence shouldn’t be used or they are deciding guilt on some but not others

In short yes.

The no fault stand down rule is compulsory for offences with terms over 11years and at Todds discretion for under 11 years. God help us when we have to rely on that gronk but that is the rule. There was no way he was standing him down after the Ch9 Report.

Im not sure that Walker was actually under the No fault stand down though, was he prior or after JDB?

I think it was 11 years or crimes against Women.

JDB, May and Walker all got stood down around the same time
