JT's Record in Danger!

Just been reading the 2004 preview from Big League and noticed coming into this season Joey "Fat Arse" Johns is sitting on 1828 points. When JT played his first game for us he was sitting on 1842 points. Now unless Joey retires in the near future theres no shadow of a doubt he will have JT's record probably no later than the 2005 season.

All i can say is Witty start scoring some points cuz that record is our record! lol

Well, look at the bright side:

At least there is one aspect NOBODY can ever take away from us.

JT was the FIRST to break the record.

Seeing as how JT scored most of his points playing for another team I won't be too disappointed if it gets broken. Now what we need is for Michael Witt to play out his career for Parra and set a new record. 8)

how old is he now?

i wouldn't be surprised if he is using rugby in attempt to squeeze out a huge contract from a superleague club

What do you mean? First to break Halligan's record? If Joey does get it he will be the first the break JT's record.

Joey deseves it, he is one of the greatest players of all time.

i'd only rate halligan higher than joel caine

I'd rate both well below superstar standard though. And I mean Johns and Halligan. When will people actually watch Johns and realise he is nothing but an over hyped below standard halfback. Pure luck is counted as genuine skill and critical mistakes are "bad luck"

hahaha dvd, did you miss the 2001 grand final by any chance?

he's by no means perfect and the limping when losing is pretty funny, but "over hyped below standard halfback" sounds like words a 13 year old troll would use in the knights forum!

This will be Johns' last season even if there is all this paper talk about him being 100% fit. Typical

Besides Newcastle probably cant offord him, this year is his last year of his contract. If they want to keep their juniors and Johns at the same time well its gonna be hard. I reckon it is definatley his last season, why do you think they signed Steve Witt.

He might start the season well, but halfway through his form will be down or he'll get injured or suspended.

But I'll be very suprised, if Newcastle re-signs him.
