You can continue all you like about Lyon, I completley understand that it would cause problems. I just question how many of you actually consider why a man like Lyon would walk out with the world of RL at his feet. Its not as clear cut as him just being a wanker or I would be agreeing that it was a dog act.

well unfortunately one person's opinion does not represent an entire fanbase's. Also your refusal to acknowledge the 'dog act', would mean that many other so called 'messiah threads' will sprout up.

is 'pretty good' over 4-5 weeks (which is an exaggeration imo) good enough for 500K a year? thats my question. Look at others who are possibly earning similar amounts.... Darren Lockyer, even when down on form his involvement is high (and they both play the same position, on paper anyway)

and hes making record tackle counts (69 against the Storm, all time highest by anyone), so i believe he's worth it. How does a question about a player's worth indicate my jealousy? Are Manly "obviously" happy with Lyon? What makes you say this? Also... many other threads ahve sprouted up over other overpaid hacks, yet when a Lyon thread comes up why does everyone resort to claiming bias against the initial poster instead of judging the situation on its merits?

Even so it hasn't turned out that way. He's having a 'solid' season, nothing fantastic but to complain while your club is sitting second would be silly on our behalf. We expect more but our continual moaning wouldn't change a thing.

There is NOONE in the league as overpaid, and underperfoming as Lyon. Thats the reason why i have chosen to expose this issue rather than some other player. I'm glad that you agreed on the price tag, because thats what this thread was about. He was doing OK, but now he isnt and is therefore the worst buy this 2007 season IMO. However on the point of 'solid' season, i have to disagree. He is about as solid and as useful as Daniel Wagon, yet we pay the bloke peanuts and he is lucky to get a call up - Lyon is paid 500K and is picked no matter what.
