I think the idea that Manly is a struggling club is the shittest take on this saga? Lol

I think he's lucky with 4 weeks.
He is. And I can see why you’d think I was talking about Manly as a struggling club. Sorry. I was thinking Tupou/Rava.

He copped the ban that he did because he’s a nobody. No chance Murray gets the same ban.

I wasn't referring just, or specifically, to you. Seen that take in a few places but yeah. I get where you're coming from to an extent. Rava and Sua seem to have targets on them but I think players like Sua especially bring a bit of that on themselves.

But I don't think we can say that re Murray cos it hasn't happened either way. It's a pointless hypothetical IMO. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't.

It doesn't necessarily speak to this conspiracy that's come up this year, which is a load of nonsense IMO. Crap teams infringe more. Crap teams are worse at doing things on a rugby league field and therefore more likely to be penalised, or give away set restarts, or concede control of the the momentum of the game.

We get told as Parra fans that "The NRL wants Parra to win!" Every weekend when our opponents are penalised but then Junior gets binned for a perfect tackle on Brimson. Plodley is one of the most suspended players in the game in recent years.

I will never disagree that consistency is an issue, or that the refs are the worst they've ever been, or that 50/50 calls tend to go the way of the better team naturally but I just can't believe how this Payten whinge has taken hold

Yeah. I’m probably guilty of being influenced by Payton’s whinge. Fanned the flames of an opinion that I was already tossing around in my head. But I’m ranting already. It’s Saturday and raining and have got nothing better to do. So f**k it. I’m gonna set up a pedestal.

I don’t think that playing for a big club necessarily protects players, but playing for shit ones definitely doesn’t. I think that Latrell would have copped a big suspension for that tackle. But not Murray. Radley would have but not Tupou.

I literally watched Crawley defend Tupou’s tackle because he’s a “cleanskin”. There’s no perfectly consistent system, but the way things are ruled it seems like there are people in the judiciary who share Crawley’s way of seeing the world.

Re: the NRL wanting Parra to win the comp - even if they actually wanted that I wouldn’t be waiting for it to happen. Why would they suddenly become competent for that goal?

According to the press conference Jack Wighton reckons he'll be okay for his tackle because the player "didn't go past the vertical".

Kyle Feldt - This was a Grade 2 (2 weeks suspension) and deemed penalty/report sufficient on field.

Tell me again how name no name players like Lawton don’t cop a raw deal.

Oh my f**king god.

Wighton - accidental, but dangerous tackle but only just went past the horizontal - gets a grade 2 charge (like the Feldt one above) and is facing 2-3 weeks.

Matt Lodge - deliberate elbow to the head, cops a fine.

Ben Murdoch-Masila - deliberate elbow to the head, no charge.

The MRC can go and f**k themselves.

Kennedy should get the same punishment as Tupou.
Pretty similar tackles. Kennedy’s was a bit worse but being sent off makes up for the difference.

Topou had 45 minutes to decide how to make his tackle while Ravalava shuffled upfield.

Kennedy had milliseconds after Walsh changed direction.

Kennedy should get a week, just like Tupou, but I think we all know what's going to happen here.

Being sent off totally does not make up any difference, otherwise Lawton would have received a week less.
