Shoulder charges to the body shouldn't even be a penalty. Heaps of them are being let go, I'm not sure why they decided to pick out this one which was more arm than shoulder anyway.
I suppose Kikau does have a claim - he'd already done about 4 this season without charge.

And I wonder why penrith are starting to become one of the most hated clubs unfortunately
You have to do something worthy of suspension to cop one. Kikau sails pretty close to the wind, but the rest of the team rarely do much at all to warrant a look by the MRC.
That said a few that have gotten suspended could consider themselves hard done by. The annoying part is it’s a lottery.

tbf it was origin but the shoulder charge but Cleary was bad as was the arm breaker by Crichton. Both worthy of suspension

Yep. The bloke who clocked Edwards didn't get charged either. Both would have just been fines anyway.

The Finucane one was deemed reckless/careless, ie the manner of the tackle was causative. Most head clashes are completely accidental.
This head clash was also accidental and completely different from the Napa one where Napa literally lead with the top of his head in almost a ramming motion, here Finucane is clearly trying to make a tackle. For me the issue is the NRL have not defined any rules in regards to head contact, not that I agree with rugby union but at least it's clearly defined that head contact incidental or otherwise is deemed the fault of the tackler, here the NRL and moreover the MRC are literally just making it up as they go, I mean how else can you explain the dramatical gulf of opinion between the ref and bunker who didn't even deem the incident as deserving of a penalty and then the MRC come in with a grade 3 charge which is typically a very serious charge that results in a sin bin or even send off.

There's a difference between completely accidental and a reckless/careless act. The MRC have determined the latter to apply here. I suspect the refs didn't want to be seen to be deciding the winner of the game so they took the easy path.

Head on head contact is just the same as any other kind of high contact, if it is reckless, careless or intentional it is misconduct under the laws of the game.

that's a very soft excuse, grade 3 is not a minor charge, it's pretty serious and you're seriously suggesting despite numerous replays Ashley Klein and Grant Atkins who are widely regarded as 2 of the top officials in the game in the end just couldn't be bothered making a decision 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The more plausible reason is that the interpretation of accidental and careless/reckness varies wildly and is nowhere near as black and white as you're suggesting.

The charge is a f**king joke but don't be a salty little bitch in regards to "Big Bad Penriff"
I would agree with you, but when it's directly related to Cleary having a whinge in the post-match press conference - I'm going to play the big bag penriff card. It's really remarkable that Penrith and Cowboys both have not had a players suspended for a single week.
