Had to post this piece because this is a massive wrap for Kyle Eastmond from the Sts coach Mike Rush.

“Kyle Eastmond who was named as man of the match is as good a footballer as I have possibly ever seen and worked with. He can do things that no other kid of his age can do and he can do things that no older kid than he can do. He is a privilege to have in the side, he’s a bit of a ‘gem’ player.

“Moments like were he ‘shows and goes’, a little step that he has got, and he even seems to move in the air. He’s a very exciting player, and has only just turned seventeen"

Now Mike has coached some great young players in the last 3 years and he really knows his stuff, he's the guy you always see sitting next to Daniel Anderson during the SL games

It isn't any good unless he is shown continued development.

I remember hearing a whole bunch of wank about the 2003 Jnr GB side beating th jnr Roos for the first time, the Likes of the leeds forward.. Bailey... part of that team.

This is not an area GB falls down it, in terms of the quality of talent at 18 years of age, though depth may be an issue.

The problem is that these guys turn 18, 19, 20 and are still languishing in reserve grade or are on loan to NL1 pub teams and then cease developing.

The best thing Eastmond could do is try out for an NRL team in 2007 or 2008.

Mike Rush knows his stuff.

Also a former Coach of Liverpool Buccaneers, we have him to thank for our Club Captain and current Player of the Year, Mark Webster. He also took 2 of our players to Saints, now playing in the Senior Academy.

Our academy = Saints under 18's.

Would beat any NRL junior side, just like they did in the Aussies back yard in the under 16's.

West Tigers under 18's got beat by a poor / young Leeds under 18's yesterday, Saints would of wiped the floor.
