i just have to ask.
You find it hard to support someone that bleeds red and white puts his body on the line ?
Do you know jack on a personal level ?
have you met him?
Even had an interaction with him ?
you and I can probably only agree on one thing neither of us will ever know what happened but you have made your judgement and I’m guessing it is because of what you have read in media ?
One thing that is not in question is that he cheated on his pregnant partner.

Technically not a crime but certainly a minus in the moral code

Did you the transcripts from the trial and do you find the language used by and admitted to by De Belin acceptable?

The fact that a jury failed to find him not guilty on several charges raises doubt over his innocence rather than confirming it IMO.

Apologies to others who want to move on from this but I did want to answer this question. As Old Timer has said above, Jack’s own testimony in the trial did him no favours in regards to his behaviour and general attitude towards women. And yeah, pregnant wife etc. So yes very disappointed that the club was happy to welcome him back with open arms - I think it sets a terrible example and has contributed to the disintegration of the club culture. Think about our team over even just the last 3 or so years, even though the culture here has clearly been rotting away for a decade.. Let’s say I take a child to a game. I point out the players to him. Look! There’s the group of players who disobeyed their coach and state laws to hold a BBQ in the middle of a pandemic! Look! There’s the alleged rapist! Look! There’s the guy who allegedly attacked someone with a hammer on a roof! He’s the future of our club!!!! Look! There’s the guy who pleaded guilty to stalking or intimidating with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm in a domestic setting! Look! There’s our coach Anthony Griffin who likes dubious people and political views on social media!! Now son, make these people your heroes and cheer them on because at least one of them apparently bleeds red and white……..
Some people seem to be ok with all of this. I’m not. And again it all goes back to the culture at the club. It’s been allowed to rot for a long time. Do you think our club would have arrived at this all time low if it had chosen its people / representatives better, or disciplined people who crossed behavioural lines? I don’t.
Parra have their own issue with this at the moment. Dylan Brown has just had his crocodile tears moment in the media and Parra will welcome him back , his teammates will “have his back” because he’s a mate and in a year no one will remember he committed a crime. And maybe this is the moment their culture starts to crack……

Not in question? Do you know for a fact that she didn't tell him to go get his rocks off elsewhere?

A mate of mine, his pregnant wife didn't want anything to do with him sexually whilst she was pregnant. Told him to go and get off with a prostitute whenever he needed.

Cheating on your wife is rampant among NRL players, as it is among life in general.

Well he told her he wasn’t in a relationship so I guess that puts paid to your 1st point.

A prostitute by your wife’s request V’s a night out on the prowl no contest

Cheating may very well be rampant but as it is called cheating it’s self explanatory

If you are ok with it hopefully your best mate is banging his balls on your Mrs buttocks.

Hahaha....you crack me up. I am okay with it (cheating) because what other people do in their private lives is none of my concern. I am not okay with it if it involves me or mine. It is of no concern to me if someone chooses to screw up their lives with cheating, being gay, doing drugs, committing crimes....it is their choice, no judgement from me.

But to sit here and say someone is no good because he cheated on his wife....ffs, worry about your own life.

Oh, and isnt your last statement against all policies in this place concerning family?

If that is the rules then apologies for the breach.

His actions do concern others so practice what you preach and you worry about your beliefs and let others worry about theirs as you seem keen to convince people it doesn’t matter to you so it shouldn’t matter to them.

JDB’s actions were that of a low life merely looking to get his end in

A jury that declared him not guilty on charge failed to declare him not guilty on all the other charges says it all for me.

boy i dont know where to start...
if supposedly you did take a (child) to the footy why would you mention every bad thing that has happened ?
would you tell him about jayden su'a and his wife off the field and the contribution to the hosiptal and community ?
would you tell him about blake lawrie and all the charity work he does and how his the first to volunteer his time ?
would you even mention cody ramsey and the struggles and every thing that kid has gone through?
maybe we go to the game mate and ill do the taking to the kids anyways nothing personal
would we prefer to stick to a few negatives ?

would you want parras culture ? 1986 i think was the last time they lifted the trophy?

If there is more than the public know please spell it out instead of trying to look like you have inside info.

He was anything but a young fella.

Did lots of stupid things and was through that stage of my life once I took on commitments like permanent relationships and bringing children intro the world.

You obviously have cheated and that's why its such a throw away line and obviously why you abide by the behavior.

My 1st marriage went sour over the last couple of years of it and not until I removed myself permanently from the marriage (left the house entirely and started paying maintenance) did I seek new companionship.

Indeed his partner has the say as to what her relationship with him is as I do when assessing him and where he fits in my relationship with the club. To his credit he has admitted his gross error of judgement and if he keeps a clean slate then good on him and he deserves another chance albeit that there have been posts in here that say his nose is not that clean even after faltering once.

your the one with the conviction like you know more so please feel free to enlighten us all ( if you really think trying to sort through the facts of a criminal trail on a forum are the way to go about it
just like to let you know mate no one has the right to judge others.
seems your a bit consumed by the whole thing with little information and to your point of cheating what makes you have the right to accuse me when once again you have little information(if any) mate take a think before you go off on your keyboard quite embarassing to be honest.
i would usually say i love your contribution but this is just nonsense
its like me commenting on your first marriage i dont know the facts so i shall not comment.
now if you want to have a chat more than happy for you to dm me i do enjoy your views even if i dont agree with all

Your the one that decided to judge my stand and convince me that cheating isn't anything to worry about as "cheating" is normal and therefore acceptable.

Just ask yourself would our club and coaching staff have been in a far better position if he had of just gone out and had a Christmas drink and gone home?

His cock was more important than his partner, his club, his coach, his team mates, the supporters, the sponsors so in light of his behaviour I believe as a long time supporter I am entitled to be bitter and opinionated about his actions let alone the clubs stupidity in awarding him an upgraded contract.

Just imagine if this all blew up the week before we were playing a GF and several players were involved and therefore stood down how would you feel then!

i think you have me mistaken with dorothy ?
i dont doubt we would of been in a better position. but we dont live in a what if world.
ye im not disupting the fact he was an idiot even he admits that but wow thats a long stretch.
and and your last point the exact same way i do now ill let the court handle the legal side and his family(Wife) decide on the moral side as they know alot more than you or i.
also im not arguing he did some idiotic things (more so than most) but once again a kid in his 20s with too much money and free time hey what if we hired a better coach who would of stopped the bbq ? or a captain who would of stood up and said NO its not happening..

It says a lot about a man’s character when he attacks another man for taking a principled stance.
Read again. I never attacked OT, just stated he should not make assumptions he has no proof of. He also said Debelin told her he was not in a relationship. Was he there to hear that? It is bullshit. The girl was a well known Dragons groupie who knew most of the guys and their status. And OT was the one who came out with the personal attack on me, hoping for my wife to be banged by my friend. That was all class, hey.

I myself choose to not judge people for the choices they make, unless it directly affects me. If that makes me less principled in your eyes, big whoop. Your judgement of my character means sfa too. Have a good night.
