With the Dylan Brown suspension of 7 weeks. Will Amone be getting some sort of suspension if he is not jailed or found not guilty? Is Dylan Brown serving the time because he actually pleaded guilty?

Anyone know when the court case will finally be start for Amone?
Why would he get a suspension if he is found not guilty?
JDB was not suspended after he was found "not guilty" he played the following week.

I thought NRL may still suspend Amone because of the bad press, bringing the game in disrepute or simply for just wearing the red V.

JDB was not found guilty and served 2+ years put of the game so he did not get off scot free.

Yes. In fact it probably extended his career in the long run.

He wasn't found not guilty. He wasn't convicted though

Non conviction equals not guilty in our law
Actually the most serious of the charges were dropped because prosecutors could see it was going to be very difficult to not get a hung jury. That doesn’t negate the possibility that the allegations weren’t true or without merit. Let’s just say there’s a big difference between charges being dismissed, someone being “technically not guilty“ and someone being morally or actually guilty….
Personally I find it incredibly difficult to now watch him play for the team I follow. I can’t even muster a scrap of enthusiasm whenever he touches the ball or makes a tackle. Another sad chapter in what I’m starting to call our “lost decade”.

I'm not talking morally or technically.and personal feelings don't come into it.

You need to be found guilty to be considered guilty under law.

You don't have to like it or support him that's a personal choice.

Sure I get that. I’m just getting very tired of the false rhetoric going around that he was found “not guilty’ on the major charges related to the case. He wasn’t.

No argument on that but he remains not guilty as you need to be found guilty.

Wether he is factually guilty or innocent who knows?

Have we not moved on from the JDB trial and outcome?

i just have to ask.
You find it hard to support someone that bleeds red and white puts his body on the line ?
Do you know jack on a personal level ?
have you met him?
Even had an interaction with him ?
you and I can probably only agree on one thing neither of us will ever know what happened but you have made your judgement and I’m guessing it is because of what you have read in media ?
